Hello,
I'm stuck on something,
I figured out how to get the Plough in the Grey Moors set up but now whatever I do the ponies can't go that direction
I've tried going every direction with the plough up and down and they won't move anywhere,
any help or hints would be appreciated as Kipp seems to think I'm good to go

We're not really allowed to give out quest hints on the forums...I'd offer something subtle anyway, but I have no idea how the quest you're referring to works anyway.
Tervic2009-01-09 20:17:50
The best hint would be to pay attention. If I recall, that quest does give you detailed instructions on how to move the plough and make it work.

I am following the directions, I am using the given commands and it states the horses jump and kick and they can't go that way for all directions and with the plough in and out of the ground.
That's why I'm frustrated, because I am reading the directions and paying attention, it's 5 times now and the plough won't move even though I'm using the commands

I have tried that quest many times. I can say that every time I have tried it it has been broken. I have been playing for 2 years and have never seen the quest work. Whether it's the plough disappearing or the horses moving without the plough (or, even funnier, the reverse) or whatever, that quest is usually just broken.

This quest is the devil.

It's actually been fixed and I've completed about 3/4 of it at various times (I think other people steal the last bits after I 'practice' doing the other parts), and I've seen the completed results on both sides recently, so I -know- it's fixed. All I can say is, perhaps you're trying to take the plough outside of the Moors? Are you sure there's an exit where you're trying to go? If it still gives you problems, give me a holler IG and I'll be glad to offer some assistance.

Back when it was new (and ten times more buggy than it is now), after I'd ploughed every room in the Moors from every direction possible a dozen times over the course of a few hundred hours of trying, I actually took it out and ploughed my way through Oleanvir and into Serenwilde, as well as through the farms in Stewartsville and Delport. I also took it to the desert for a while.

Well that explains why we have herbs growing all over the place.

My advice is to bash your head on your keyboard repeatedly, and if that doesn't produce the correct keystrokes, throw it across the room and give up.
Oh, wait, I just tried that for the last hour and a half and that didn't work either. I'M GOING TO BED! Hmph!

Quest is fine, it's just a bit more complicated than you think. I thought it was bugged for ages until a god checked it out for me, and as far as I'm aware it's all good.
Pretty sure I'm the last person that did the quest and that was about 7-8 months ago.
Oh if you can get the plough out of the field then that part is still bugged, everything is in the field.

I got the plough to move the other day, the only thing was I got all four ponies instead of just one like last time so I think that is why it wouldn't move for me
Thanks for all the help

Incorrect. I've found quest items out randomly in the Moors, so unless it's been changed again in the last month or so.... Yeah. I've actually finished all the parts of the quest, but independently, and I can't be bothered to put it all together in a reasonable amount of time and get the honours line. It's sodding complicated D:

Actually... you're not supposed to be able to get the plough out of the field and into the moors, the bit where you can is still bugged. Back when the quest was first put in the plough blade used to break if you tried to take it outside the field area. The reason you were finding items out in the moors is there's a certain pattern which you need to plough, as long as you get the pattern right, you get the item - independant of room.
Sure some divine will correct me if I'm wrong, but that's how it works as far as I understand it.
Noola2009-01-20 18:45:59
This sort of thing is why I don't do honors quests much.

there's a PATTERN!? AIEGH. I thought it was just by entering the room that the item was in. Blerghle.

Skype me some time and I'll demonstrate how to pronounce it.
Chade2009-01-21 17:16:50
Yes - there is a pattern.
