I'd like to see stills from this program in the Artisanal, so I'm posing this here.
This is the program: http://sketchup.google.com/
This is the site I found it through (complete with tutorials):

Now you, too, can make a 3D animation! Just like Pixar! Right? ...Right?

I've studied Maya a bit. Maya is neat but some of the options aren't as obvious as Photoshop (really technical terms). Maya is also hugely expensive. I've also tried Milkshape 3d. I think the license for that is $20 but I didn't like it that well. I hope this program is good. I'm at work right now, so I haven't tried it yet, but I'm going to download it when I get home.

Is this program able to make anything or just things that could potentially go into google earth?

You can use it just like any other animation software from what I've seen of it. It takes a little getting use to the controls, but you can pretty much pick it up and start playing with it without knowing too much.
You can export your 3-D artwork and make it into a 2-D jpeg. Makes it awful convenient for anyone who wanted to enter drawings from this program in the Artisanal Contests...awful convenient indeed....

There's something rather similar called Alice, if I remember right...
