The term is nerdgasm
Edit: and I don't know why they would pair Jecht with Tidus. Jecht was a good guy who got screwed over. Seymour makes more sense

Yes, Final Fantasy Dissidia is a Super Smash Bros. style game.
Except all the characters are, well, Final Fantasy. I have been stoked on this game for the longest time and it is already out in Japan.
I am -really- happy they included Shantotto in there from FFXI as an unlockable, since I actually still play that and have a subscription to it.

Pfft, I'm playing the Jap-version on my PSP. The graphics are awesome, but pity about the Jap-language. I'm just skipping all the cutscenes except for those with fighting.
And I've played (but not completed any) all of the Final Fantasy games from IV to X-2. But, I've forgotten all of them. Sad, isn't it?

The reason I have any interest in anything Fantasy, is because of that series.
If anyone has played 11 though, the aslaran are very similar to the mithra.

Aslaran are similar to every cat-race ever. It's a cat race. It happens.

I guess I was thinking more of the aslari language info on the scrying pool.
But that isn't canon anyways.

Yeah, but Jecht and Tidus had the whole angry-kid vs never there-dad relationship which makes for much more fun than crazy lunatic vs time-travelling hero. It's been a while since I played that final fantasy though so I could be off..
But yeah, I'm psyched for it.

It was actually stated in an interview that the reason why they didn't choose Seymour was because if they did it would result in the protagonist Yuna instead.
That and *SPOILERS*
Jecht is Sin. But Sin is too large.

If you are going to wait for the American release, it is going to take a while as almost everything in the game is voiced. It will take a long while for the company to find suitable english voice actors to voice the characters.
Also, this game requires an insane amount of grinding if you want to achieve all unlockables, collect every piece of equipmen... oh wait, all FF games are like that.

Yeah, everyone knows that, Prisch, but he didn't really have a choice, and resisted it as much as he could. He doesn't seem the type to "Ally with chaos"

That is true, although throughout the entire game he was depicted as an all around bad/mentally abusive father.
Then again Judge Gabranth from FF12 is an unlockable opposition to Shantotto, who ended up not even being a bad guy at all.
He also uses Basch's Quickenings so there is heavy speculation he is actually Basch.
