Where to now?

Back to Combat Guide.

I was hoping someone might be able to take the time to give me a little direction with lesson spending. Assuming that I won't be getting too many more credits and am level 30 odd. I've read through a number of threads here, and I'm getting a vague idea of what else I need, but specific direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It depends on what you want to do.
You want to be a combatant? Or just a good basher?

I would recommend at least investing some lessons into Influence, just because it's a useful skillset for village revolts and debating. Lowmagic I would recommend getting to Master probably, and other than that invest into Acrobatics especially if you want to focus on combat.

Thanks for the replies

I want to get involved in combat, yes. Bashing I can take or leave, it's the player interactions, roleplay and conflicts that interest me more. Specifically I guess I'm looking for 'must have' skills that I'll really get shafted in combat without.

Lowmagic to master gets me...green? seems kind of important for breaking locks...

Quite, plus eventually you'll want to get into Magic and Resilience which are great damage reducers at the higher levels.

Combat is going to be very, very frustrating without trans Planar (conglutination). Green/Gedulah is also extremely nice to have (required, even).

Other than that, learn Acrobatics. Your guild skills are the most important to you when it comes to combat.

And yeah, Knights are going to pwn you without a lot of resilience and the actual 'combat' skill.

I just spent some time reading forums and help files, and I'm not sure if I understand conglutination or not.

With conglutination, you die off plane, and are resurrected pretty quickly back to your nexus?
Without, you pray for salvation, wait for a longer period, and arrive at the portal of fate?

Yes, but the time taken isn't the biggest deal (though it is certainly nice), but rather how much experience you lose. Praying causes you to lose quite a bit of experience, but conglutination does not. If you're in an off prime fight (where most occur), you might end up dying a few times.

Gotcha, thanks.

I'm guessing this is as good of place as any to ask this.

I have up to sparkles in Illusions and Dementia in Telepathy. Should I go ahead and trans Telepathy or put my lessons in Illusions or maybe somewhere else?

Trans TP unless you plan to only get chasm kills.

You don't need green/gedulah on the account you have vileblood. Trans guild skills, trans planar, trans discipline, trans resilience, trans combat. Thats what I got so far and in that order, and then mythical discernment and mythical environment. I just got gedulah because I never really needed it before. Trans planar is a must though as is discipline.

And looking back... wtf, more acrobatics. Don't you know that skillset is crazy good?
