Sorry if this has been posted somewhere before, but I could find a thread for it.
Does anyone have a script for Cmud to output Map view/the MAP command to a separate window? 'Situational awareness' isn't exactly my strong point, so I figured it'd be useful to have a window on the side I could glance at to get my bearings.
From what I understand, it'd just be a trigger to capture the borders of the map and everything between them, but I have the coding expertise of a lawn gnome and would have no idea how to phrase that.
Any help would be muchly appreciated.

Not sure that's even possible, however the mudbot maps using the LMTS or Imap or whatever allow for what you're asking for.

Why a window? CMud (and zMud for that matter) allows you to dock the map right into the program, so you can have it take up the entire right-hand side of the screen without even overlaying the text.

I was going to dock the window anyway, I keep a to-do list running down the side anyway. But I get your point.
@Sojiro: I'll check mudbot out then, thanks for that

The alternative is to set up your own map-maker in cMud, which comes with its own built-in mapping feature (which is what I do, I've got my own z/cMud map). For the most part cMud seems relatively able to handle this without a lot of extra setup-- zMud on the other hand does not. A number of extra triggers are required.
The MudBot mapper is better if you want to buy someone else's (I don't think anyone's really selling their *Mud ones, but there are a few people selling the MudBots). I prefer *Mud's though.

I used to think I couldn't live without my zMUD map, and then Nick added miniwindows to MUSHclient and IRE added in-game maps. Now, with my combination of the in-game map in a miniwindow and speedwalking with MudBot, I'm far more effective than I ever was with zMUD.
