Well, here's the very base sketch. It's obviously very rough, but I'm cleaning it up now. I'll post a clean version when I've finished it.





Tau y'Kaliath is Somaria's most elusive daughter. Carrying on the family tradition of beautiful women (_ Mihewi's a cutie too. _), she's taken after Somaria's skill and drive within the Nekotai guild as the former Wrath.

Alrighty, just finished up digitally inking it. I think this one will come out very nicely after I add the coloring I'm envisioning. I will probably finish this before Somaria and Daedalion.

There's something wrong with the nekai and her tits.

I get a Harley Quinn vibe from her, personally.

Less width on the first and more on the second, is my suggestion.

I very much love it, especially her posture (I am no good at postures, especially movement pics kill me) but add a bit of shading under the bewbs and well, everything else. It would greatly enhance this picture!

I took the liberty of adding in a bit of shadow. They are very crude, done in 5 minutes, but you get the idea.

However, your style is very distinctive. If you prefer it without shading, that's cool - this was just a suggestion!

Wow-- you really cleaned up your sketch since the first draft. The hair-- namely the bangs capture the certain Tau-ness, or at least as I know her. Adding eye and mouth detail will go a long way to adding the final touch, and will really express her personality.

Though, quick question-- in the first draft that swirl appears to be her navel, but now it has moved up to the center of her chest. Inner worm? Can you explain that one?

Otherwise your artwork is really coming along. Keep it up Som!

As to moving the inner worm, I was told that I had placed it in the wrong spot by Mihewi over the clan. Because I did a digital ink on a transparent over the original (Which gives it it's awesome clean appearance), I was and still am able to move it where ever I want.

I'm just kind of stuck with a Stargate mindset... Gawd I love that show.. -is a complete nerd-.

As for the shading, that's basically where I had planned to go with it, Saaga. I admit I kind of wish you hadn't posted an edited version of it as now it kind of feels like I'd be copying your shading. Regardless, today I'll finish up the shading and eye coloring. I'm leaving the mouth and other eye off, because in her desc, it specifically says that she has 'lifeless' eyes and I feel adding a mouth would take away from the effect I'm going to go for.

Pfft, feel free to mimick the shadings as much as you wish.

And for those using GIMP, I just started using the paths tool for when I'm digitally inking the sketches. Because I'm obviously a very messy artist with hand, this is a really REALLY handy tool and I urge you all to try it out!
