So, while I was doing this, just before adding layers for shading and after saving, GIMP crashed.



Unfortunately, I only saved it as jpeg, so going back in was a headache and more, but I tried to salvage it.

I have decided, though, that I'll be taking commissions (Free/donations). I want to draw your characters!

I think that's the best one thus far.

Neck to thin.

Hair looks 1 dimensional.

Skirt that short needs panties.

Strings on the lyre hard to distinguish from the robes.

I like the hood, although the skirt is a little strange. Can't put my finger on it. Otherwise, quite nice!

Oh yes, I agree with Gregori, the neck on the girl is way too thin.

Also. Where her skirt looks like it's going into his robes... it looks... not... right. Yeah.

I like the lyre. Really clean lines.

Edit: Also. You'll want to work on the faces more. They look pretty blank and nondescript as is.

This is the first thing I've done COMPLETELY on my computer. There is no base sketch. I've been practicing faces via hand/pencil, but this is the best I could manage via raw GIMP.

With my next one, I'll work more on the face.

Hair doesn't look like it is covering her neck. Her neck just makes her look like she is E.T's love child with Drew Barrymore.

I'm not changing it. You can accept her tiny neck and move on.

OK, now I see what you mean by hair covering the neck, but maybe its because the hair looks too 2-D, and doesn't show that part of the hair is in front of the neck instead of behind.

I honestly do not see how the hair is covering part of her neck, pardon my ignorance.

She looks stanced too angled (via the sight of as much of her back as there is) for it to be in the back, and if it is covering the front of her neck, does it just go into her chest and vanish? There's nowhere for her hair to flow from the front.

Otherwise, looks good for being just computer art.

Yeah, but when you show us your art you accept constructive criticism instead of just saying "LOOK AT MY ART AND LOVE IT THE WAY IT IS!"

I really like the colors.

The neck really bothers me, too, though. In my mind, it doesn't make much sense that the hair could be mostly behind the ears and behind the rest of the body, but still covering the neck with her head at that angle.

Why, who are they?

2) Trying to get people to out alts. Though since they haven't really made any intent to hide it, I'm not sure that really applies.
