Sacraments as a knight

Is it just me or does it seem the skillset was made with solely guardians in mind, the only skills I every use are numen and trueheal. the rest of the skills I haven't even bothered making aliases for. The only offensive skills in the tree, being the inqui combo, don't really seem possible to pull off as a knight against anyone competent, and jugdement just isn't worth it without the guardian hindering abilities Maybe I am just bad, but I can't find a way to fit any of the sacraments stuff into combat.

I feel like the same is basically true of Necromancy, though lichdom is helpful, and a couple of abilities in the set are nice.

What the christ?

I can list a pile of offensive abilities that compliment a knight in Necromancy. Remember that the goal of a skill worth using for a knight is that it allows you to work your offense and gain the benefits. 90% of sacraments is garbage for Paladins because you can't use power attacks effectively if you want to use Trueheal or the other lines. Not true about effective use of various necromancy skills.

To the original poster, yes, Sacraments is garbage for Paladins.

The one biggest advantage I see about being a Sacraments knight: I can't inquisition you. sad.gif Numen's super useful too. Do not discount numen.

Yet, numen is another power sink that (especially as a non demi/non arti) someone won't have the power to do should they want to win a fight.
Razenth2009-04-03 23:06:38
Not for a fight Desi, but it's useful in general, like fighting super hard mobs or something. Otherwise yeah, no point unless you suck at using your weapons and want to try a judgement kill in a big group fight.

Sacraments is mostly defensive and a lot of the good skills are power-intensive so yeah, it will screw up your offense. It's not nearly as good for Paladins as it is for Celestines. But hey, it beats Tracking.

No, it doesn't. Tracking is actually much better in my opinion.

Likewise, the bulk of Sacraments isn't defensive. It's mostly garbage utility + heretic/infidel/inquisition + numen + trueheal. That's all it has. There isn't a single DMP granting skill in Sacraments.

Benediction has a blessing that gives resistance or protection or something. I'm assuming that gives DMP to magic damage. It also gives fitness, which I think gives 15 DMP to fire. Is that right?

SHUT UP SACRAMENTS SUCKS

Knights already get all the dmp that benediction give with skills in athletics

just join magnagora and get necromancy.
Malicia2009-04-04 14:26:35
Tarion stays and suffers with the rest of the Paladins! Or, takes up tracking.

You can just have someone else give you benediction.
