So... I'm a pretty big fan of writing rituals. Ried had to go through her Assemblies again, and she just graduated. She had to write a ritual to graduate because I'm masochistic like that. And here it is, in full. biggrin.gif Emar did add a bit to it, but that's all good.

QUOTE
You ask, "Now, are we all ready?"

You have emoted: Ried looks expectantly to Emar.

High Druid Emar d'Murani, Father of the Murder steps forward, casting his gaze briefly over all those gathered before beginning.

Kundu nods his head at you.

High Druid Emar d'Murani, Father of the Murder states, "We are gathered to celebrate the maturation of one of our brethren into a full-fledged member of the Murder, to bestow upon her the title of Druidess, and to witness her oath of servitude to Glomdoring."

High Druid Emar d'Murani, Father of the Murder says, "First, however... the Murder requires a sacrifice to K'ian Doim. Throughout our history, we have spilt blood to protect and empower our trees. Ried, you must be ready to spill your own blood for the will and the Glory of Glomdoring..."

High Druid Emar d'Murani, Father of the Murder asks you, "Are you willing?"

Firmly, you say, "I am, but I do not give my blood alone - my life itself is for Perfection."

You have emoted: Ried steps towards Emar and raises her arms, offering her bare wrists.

High Druid Emar d'Murani, Father of the Murder nods slowly.

Emar kneels and reverently places a palm on the ground. The stalk of a plant pushes up from the earth and forms a bud, which then unfolds and blossoms into a golden flower. Emar reaches out and cups the flower in his hands which shimmers into a sacred golden sickle.

Emar begins to wield a golden sickle in his left hand.

High Druid Emar d'Murani, Father of the Murder takes the sickle carefully in his hand, his face expression-less and unemotional as he draws the sharp blade over Ried's bare wrists, causing blood to seep from the wound and drip down onto the floor.

High Druid Emar d'Murani, Father of the Murder states, "The first of many wounds has been opened in Brother Crow's name, and now, after suffering the trails of the Asemblies, you stand here before the hosts of the Merciless Forest..."

High Druid Emar d'Murani, Father of the Murder asks you, "Tell us, what lessons have you taken into your heart?"

You proclaim, "In my many years here, have learned to hold a demesne, to fight, to teach the young, to keep history, and to offer prayer. In my many years absent, I have learned what Perfection really is, and the overwhelming force that is the Wyrd. I have learned what it means to serve Glomdoring, both within our borders and beyond them."

High Druid Emar d'Murani, Father of the Murder says, "Armed with this knowledge, you grow ever closer to the Perfection that permeates Glomdoring and her Spirits..."

Raising a hand, High Druid Emar d'Murani, Father of the Murder asks, "Tell us, who do you serve?"

Proudly, you say, "I serve the Merciless Forest and her divine - Lady Viravain, Lord Nocht, and Lord Shikari. I serve the trees, that they may flourish, and their hosts, that we may continue to prove our might to the rest of the world. I serve Mother Night and Brother Crow, and I serve the Murder, my brothers and sisters."

High Druid Emar d'Murani, Father of the Murder says, "And tell us, sister, based on what we have heard today..."

High Druid Emar d'Murani, Father of the Murder asks, "Why is it you serve?"

Fiercely, you say, "For Glomdoring! For her innate beauty, Perfection, and neverending Glory. I serve to continue the traditions of the Blacktalon and of the forest that hosts us, so that one day we may see the Wyrd spread across the lands."

Druidess Nyir d'Murani, Keeper of the Black Nest clucks her beak, quietly pleased.

Partisan Kundu Kor'Lathh Wyrden Admiral of the Night squints his eyes a bit.

Crossing his arms behind his back, High Druid Emar d'Murani, Father of the Murder says, "Ried, I will confess... When I had learned that you had departed for the barbarous Serenwilde, I was saddened and deeply disappointed..."

High Druid Emar d'Murani, Father of the Murder looks thoughtful and says, "But... If there is something I know, now more than ever before, through all my years in the Mighty Glomdoring, learning the ways of the Wyrd as its eternal student... it is that all come to Glomdoring in the end..."

Plucking a feather gently from his wings, High Druid Emar d'Murani, Father of the Murder says, "Whether it be whole, or apart as dust to feed the soil.."

Emar's mouth turns up as his face breaks into a smile.

High Druid Emar d'Murani, Father of the Murder says, "You have learned in your departure the true meaning of Glomdoring as the epitome of perfection, the true beauty of First Word. A miracle, truly, that shall spread throughout the Basin."

Partisan Kundu Kor'Lathh Wyrden Admiral of the Night folds his darkened wings under his robes.

Nyir nods her head at Emar, showing her acceptance.

High Druid Emar d'Murani, Father of the Murder releases the feather to the wind, watching as it twirls away into the forest.

You have emoted: Ried allows herself a smile.

You will now be known as Ried Nimaet, by order of High Druid Emar d'Murani, Father of the Murder.

You will now be known as Druidess Ried Nimaet, by order of High Druid Emar d'Murani, Father of the Murder.

High Druid Emar d'Murani, Father of the Murder proclaims, "Doim'ur! You have seen it for yourselves! Let it be known that on this day, Druidess Ried has sworn to nurture our forest, engage our enemies, and uphold our traditions, for the Glory of Glomdoring and the Perfection of the Wyrd!"

High Druid Emar d'Murani, Father of the Murder proclaims, "Nothing matters but Glomdoring!"

Nyir caws, "Glory be to Glomdoring!"

Xavius Carthan says, "Glory be to Glomdoring!"

Ainia Verdstran says, "Glory be to Glomdoring."

Druid Crek exclaims, "Glory be to Glomdoring!"

You exclaim, "Glory be to Glomdoring!"

With a nod, Druidess Astraea Nightshade says, "Glory be to Glomdoring."

Kialkarkea Diodorus says, "Glory be to Glomdoring."

Kundu caws, "Glory be to Glomdoring!"

The Shadowed Poet Dowapaa Kor'Lathh, Night's Embrace whispers, "Glory be to Glomdoring."
