It seems like you can't use the Namegen feature unless you're already in the game... meaning you've already picked a name. Which is great, if you just want it to be for folks who've picked bad names so they can find better ones. But something like that should really be available to use right at the beginning. Maybe adding another option to the enter the game, start a new character, and so on list or something?

Better yet, it could be added to the website, maybe in the New Players Guide section?

Anyway, I wanted to make an alt, and use this feature and, unless I'm really missing something (and please point out if I am), I'd have to make a name up just to get to the point where I can see a list of generated names? Well, by then, I already have a name and don't need the list anymore.

Anyway, that's my idea. Put the Namegen on the website.

I guess it's for newbies who pick silly names. After all they have a namechange ability.

True, but why limit it? If it were on the website, in the New Player Guide section or something, then it could be used by other folks who just might like help picking a racially oriented name.

Surely if you are going to make an alt, you can use Namegen with your main character and create the new character when you have the name in mind.

Would be pretty neat if it could be used from the login screen. Or from the website somehow, wouldn't it?

What bothers me is when they change there names to something equally as bad (or even worse) than the name they had before.
