Currently on my gaming to-do list:
Yeah, I know I've been a bad gamer since I haven't beaten the first BioShock yet. But I intend to rectify that soon. In the meantime, though, I've taken a look at some videos for BioShock 2 and I like what I see so far. (Warning: videos may contain spoilers for the first game depending on how far you got in it.)
I know the gameplay demonstrated in the videos I linked to doesn't seem all that different from that of the first game, but I personally believe the first BioShock to be great for the same reason the best Final Fantasy games are: an excellent, top-notch literary story placed inside a tried-and-true gameplay formula. Therefore, what will make or break BioShock 2 will be the story it tells and how it tells it. Something in the Sea gives me high hopes for BioShock 2's storyline.
And plus, the Big Sisters are awesome. I'd make a joke about them involving Big Daddy drills, but it's already been done.
- Finally beat BioShock.
- Gather info on BioShock 2 as it comes.
- Salivate.
- Enter catatonic state until BioShock 2 comes out.
- Get BioShock 2. Using wrench, if necessary.

Bioshock already felt like a complete story to me, but I'll be getting the console version anyway (seems like it would play just as well as the PC one and without overworking my poor compy.)

If it's actually made - bound to be an epic failure. I love Bioshock, but like many other games, it won't translate into ~ 2 hours of film.

This will not go well.

Hopefully the visual master Uwe Boll gets a crack at it.

Oh, don't be so hard on him. He only ruined House of the Dead... and Bloodrayne (Twice, number three coming soon.)... and Postal... and Dungeon Siege... and Alone in the Dark... and Far Cry. I mean, they can't all be hits, right?!

Looks like Sammy is going to give Warcraft fanboys something. I don't know if this will turn out to be anything remotely decent, but I don't think it'll be allowed to sink to Uwe levels.

I recall reading a statement from one of the Blizzard boys in charge of the movie collaboration. To sum it up, he stated that it would have to be really good, if it failed to succeed, it wouldn't be pretty, and he'd disappear if he gave out too much info.
Regardless, I await for Bioshock 2, and the Warcraft movie.

The bioshock movie would really just be an atlas shrugged movie, with some twists.

What about the Sims Movie?
Either way, I'm looking forward to Bioshock 2. Bioshock ended quite well, but this just seems like an interesting story about what happened after the main guy left with all the little sisters (if you played the good) or just in general afterwards.

The Sims Movie Plot

Because that plot hasn't been done enough times yet *sigh*
edit: This was announced in 2007, and there is still no IMDB record. I think this is either bogus, or they just bought the rights to it, and didn't actually plan anything.
