I'm not sure if there is an option similar to this already, but if there is I have not found it.

I know that many families, if not most of them, have written histories about their family's beginnings or other such important events. Unfortunately, there is no way to view these histories or stories using the family command. For the d'Murani, we have a separate clan that holds these files, but due to ignorance of its existence and forgetting to induct the youngins', not every family member is a part of said clan. If we could use an FHELP command to view these files instead, every new member would automatically have access.

(I am sorry if this idea is somewhat unintelligible...I have not slept well in a few days)

I approve, at least for the banner and great houses.

For right now, I have such documents written to a family clan. The clan itself is OOC, but the documents give some IC reference to what the family is about. I would like to see Fhelp as well; though, maybe for families of a particular size.

Murrh. The admin don't want non-approved families, even greathouses, coming up with anything more than a modern history.

For the ones that were approved I guess it might make sense though.

Why couldn't their history just be about their modern history?

I actually think that's what's being discussed here.

That doesn't seem like the sort of thing you could put anything worthwhile about in a file that was important enough to be elevated beyond normal file status, but if that's all you want I don't care either way, nevermind!
