What afflictions actually do

I was wondering if there is a list, or anyone would make a list of what every affliction does.

I have switched guilds for the second time in my whole life and have found myself sitting there wondering what the hell things like Severed phrenic, broken chest, snapped rib etc all really mean, beyond what they look like and how to do them.

I want to know what I should be stacking to get desired effects from my fighting and without knowing what these things mean, in simple terms, "This causes them to regain balance slowly, this causes them to lose balance, this causes them to gain wounds quicker" I really have no idea what they are all doing.

I know I can't be the first one who's asked for this, but I can't seem to find a list anywhere through helpfiles or on the forums.

Holy smokes. I had no idea that existed.

Sweet Light people! Are you serious!?

ninja.gif Xiel, I've been ripping off of your website to fill out some of my guild's info help files... hope you don't mind! ninja.gif

Not at all, since I intended for my little project-baby to be used anyway. I'm glad people find it useful at all. happy.gif

I'd be very appreciative though if someone could point out the exact different between a broken jaw and a shattered jaw besides their cures though. I seem to be missing that particular detail and what shortened breath even does at all.
Ardmore2009-09-02 00:48:32
Well if you've ever had a broken limb and a shattered limb (IRL) you'd know the difference!
Xiel2009-09-02 01:29:33
As soon as I can regrow an RL amputated limb, I'll let you know. tongue.gif

Better get started!

Oh, and someone just pointed out to me - what do numbed limbs do? And what is the diagnose 'has stiff face muscles' and what cures it/does it do?
Esano2009-09-02 08:01:27
From your own site:
CODE
Oolibah             Numbing the nerves of the body slows one down.
Mythical  0%
Syntax:    KA OOLIBAH
Kata:      Action
Ka Weight: 150
Bodypart:  Head, Chest, Gut, Rarm, Larm, Rleg, Lleg

The power of this kick is strong enough to numb the part of the body
you hit. Each subsequent hit will have a cumulative effect in numbing
the body. The victim will find it hard to recover balance as the body
grows more and more numb.

EDIT: The stiff face muscles is (probably)
CODE
Sprongk             A kick to impair healing abilities.
Fabled 50%
Syntax:    KA SPRONGK RIGHT|LEFT
Kata:      Action
Ka Weight: 250
Bodypart:  Head, Chest, Gut, Rarm, Larm

This kick will pinch a nerve, causes muscles to stiffen. This
affliction, when used on the the head, increases potion sip balance;
on the chest, increases herb smoking balance; on the gut, increases
herb eating balance; on the arms, increases balance for applying
salves and potions to the body, and also touching Stag medicinebags.
This move will cause you to lose much momentum.

Too much info to juggle around, I swear. Woo.
Vathael2009-09-02 10:35:47
shortened breath.. cant say im sure off the top of my head, what gives it? is that the deal you get while walkiing around while afflicted with asthma? if so it just causes health loss.
Unknown2009-09-02 10:55:37
Shortened breath is a monk affliction, causing increased endurance loss.

Also, amnesia doesn't necessarily take your very next action away. It has a random chance to steal an action before it then goes away.

Broken jaw = dmg from eating, shattered jaw = bleeding from eating.
Unknown2009-09-02 13:32:04
Numbed limbs give like .5 bal loss for each numbed limb.

How do you navigate to this page from the main page? I'm wondering what else is in site that I haven't found yet!

Thanks.

Now I'll take a long tour through my system to see what you have that Forren is missing. To quote someone I know, "Goodie!"
