Ode to Kethuru

I have looked upon the hideous Infinity
and recoiled, in fear and despair.
What horror must this world hold
to tempt me to approach its lair?

I have heard its whispering echos in my head
and shuddered at its alien siren song
what emptiness must I feel within
to listen as I have for so long?

I have tasted the bitterness of its fruit
and shunned its abhorrent sight.
What hunger must there be within
to drive me to long for its bite?

I have felt the coldness of its embrace
and shivered before its desolation
what ties do I have to this world
that should stop my immolation?
