From my experiences in Lusternia, most of the guildhalls are pretty difficult to get into, generally you have to teleport to somebody standing inside the guildhall if you want to get in and aren't a member of the guild. Either that or follow somebody in.
Half of the Hartstone guildhall is a natural forest location. Additionally, the Hartstone tutor is standing in a naturally forested room. If I want to stand there and learn from my tutor, because there is nobody else around I can learn from, I am potentially opening up my guild hall to attack from outsiders.
For example, not too long ago I was learning from Dain and lost my connection. When I got back, I find the guildhall has been wyrded. This is ridiculous! I should not have to worry that by simply learning from my guild tutor, that an enemy can get in!
I understand that somebody has been trying to petition the divine to move our guild tutor to a non-forested room, but was having no luck.
So, I offer these two solutions.
1. Move Dain downstairs into an unforested location.
2. Make the room Dain is standing in a non-natural forest location.

The Ebonguard guildhall can and has been destroyed many times.
Gregori2009-11-05 07:26:14
This is all something you need to do through your patron and in fact there is plans for a guildhall overhaul already. It however costs money and requires a patron who is not busy 28 hours out of every 24 in a day.

Maybe then, something should be fixed about that, as well. However, this topic is about the Hartstone guild tutor and the problem he represents currently. If you have a problem with the Ebonguard guild hall, you are welcome to start your own topic!

By a raid, not a lone person. Try comparing apples and oranges next time, not apples and steam boats.

It's actually a problem with several guildhalls at current.

Monos don't block flow?

No, but flow has enough limitations as is.
Gregori2009-11-05 07:30:11
The reason they get in is actually Crow track because the guildhall is all outdoors rooms. If you are not noticing someone flow to you while you learn at Dain then the problem is on your end.
Gregori2009-11-05 07:31:15
There is also the ask the bards to put a guard at Dain and have your own guild infuse an elemental there approach.

Offhand, I know you can also flow into Blacktalon and Spiritsingers guildhalls.

Can you? I thought Blacktalon was all inside rooms, not natural forest.

I think Spiritsingers would be difficult because of its environment, I think it's not a normal forest type? One of them would have to clarify I think, but yes. Blacktalon, and Hartstone, definitely have flow problems. Ebonguards can be killed, and is killed as a way of preventing power gain for the various needs of it. I think the city ones are all indoors, but it has been a long time since I've been in one!

This is where I point at the OP and ask you to read the part where I said I got disconnected.
Also, with nature blend and night totem, somebody can easily flow to me and I won't notice, because I don't see the flow message.
Razenth2009-11-05 07:35:49
Think Tah has outside bits.

It's a different forest type, yeah, but there's some of that type outside of it so you can still flow in from there.

Blacktalon rooms are all inside plus natural forest. (It's basically the inside of the Master Ravenwood.)
We have petitioned over and over again to make our GH unflowable but the divine have said no every time. Sucks to be us.

Is it forest? If it is, is there forest anywhere else in Celest? If the answer to one or both of these is no, then flowing is not an issue for the guildhall.

The only thing I can think of right now, as a temporary solution, would be to have a mage come in and taint/flood the inside of the guildhall. Unfortunately, it is a very distasteful idea RP-wise.
Razenth2009-11-05 07:40:41
No, though I wish there was forest in Celest I always thought it'd be cool to have druids plant trees like, in the park and open up an embassy or something
