I'm happy for the map in the flash client but it went bonkers on me
ent was a command, but it somehow appeared beside the prompts
146762 was an echo for my willowisp id, which also appeared beside the prompts
The same thing keeps happening for wrapwidth 80 and 0 ! Please fix it...thank you...
This is for wrapwidth 0
This is for wrapwidth 80
The same thing happens regardless of the browser I used...I'm not sure if this is normal or anything, only that it's only happened now.

The solution is to not use Nexus
Unknown2009-12-02 20:31:20
Nexus is Java. The Flash client is a different animal entirely.

You know, this type of answer doesn't really help and is obviously what I wasn't looking for. There are those among us who enjoy using the default client (whatever name it may be called) and still manage to get the most out of the game, at least by our standards.

Thanks, I think I get the picture now.

I use and have used the Nexus client since I began playing. There's nothing wrong with it for the way I keep company with Lusternia - and besides, I like the aesthetics.
Nexus is having some annoying problems since the map was put in, as well. Wrapwidth 80 worked fine for me before, but now it needs to be 79.
Also, copy and pasting is becoming annoying, as it won't let me copy from the first letter in a line - I have to drag the cursor from the line above it to the end of the line in question in order to get it completely.
Pasting what was copied seems to ignore new lines, as well, showing them on the prompt. So what used to show up as
now becomes
All my echoes are no longer on their own line, either - they appear in the prompt. It sounds like the same problem as in the Flash client.
And then there is a space at the bottom now, between the last prompt and the command bar.
EDIT: Shows command echoes and results on the prompt, too, when pasting.
e.g. tell (someone) (something) You tell (someone), "(something)."

Does the CONFIG PROMPT ADD LINEBREAK option fix the prompt issue, at least?

I tried, but my echoes still appeared right after the prompt

Daganev2009-12-02 21:42:11
sounds like a bug in the player, and the only way around it is to find the new "correct" number.

I mean the last prompt on the screen, at the bottom.
Clicking the little trigger icon on the bottom doesn't turn off my triggers anymore, either.

Technically, everything you type in and send to the game is supposed to appear right after the prompt. That's how prompts traditionally function.

That isn't the problem.
It's that, in my case, when copying/pasting from the client (which I tend to do very often), the format is more unclear than it used to be. It's not such a problem that I can't just manually fix every line. Echoes that -were- working properly and conveniently are doing so no longer, as well.
It isn't my intention to whine about these minor grievances - I'm just wondering why it's happening now when I haven't touched any settings myself, and if it's possible to get them fixed.

IRE is aware, fixes are being released.
Rancoura2009-12-02 22:36:05
Ooh, thank you.
Estarra2009-12-02 22:41:52
We've just done an update to hopefully fix these bugs. If you notice bugs, remember to report to nexus@ironrealms.com (or use the bug button in the client).
Fern2009-12-02 22:55:59
the bug button on the client went poof unless I am totally blind and it's not where I think it is
Mirami2009-12-02 22:57:28
where IS the bug button in the client, anyways? Is it the computer one? I don't see a bug button, unless it's that one.
Also, am I the only one that's having issues with the (new) map popup window in Nexus?

Mirami: Try closing and re-opening the client, and wait a little while for the map to load. It took a few seconds when I first started using the map.

Sorry, but I don't know where to report this since I can't find that 'report a bug' button on Nexus. Whenever I try to write a news post, the client freezes. See below:
