I am unsure yet, really just lost on the whole idea but it seems clear that players won't be able to join it which makes me a bit sad

Uh, looks like a fully functioning city to me, complete with unmanned shops and tradehalls.
EDIT: I want to see Glomdoring smash it up for throwing them under the metaphorical bus in the Taint Wars.

Perhaps the two cities (since Gaudiguch was just released if Deathsense is to be trusted) are being released as hunting areas, similar to Glomdoring before it was a full org?

Heh, I was wondering if anyone would think that. This event has been planned for over a year and we were aiming for this date for a long time. It really alarmed me that MKO was opening this weekend. I had thought it would be open well before now, but we decided to forge ahead with our event nonetheless. Anyway, I even personally apologized to MKO's producer beforehand and apprised him our event was a coincidence and not meant to try and compete with MKO's opening. 'Nuff said!

Hallifax felt like a functional city shell, ready for player citizens...not sure how I feel about that yet. I hope we don't have 3/4/5 new guilds out there though...
