Does anyone know what restrictions there are on using the epic quest items? We recently had a prime raid where someone who was heavily afflicted was able to escape.
By my count Ruiku would have been sprawled with a broken ankle, grappled, at least one side hemiplegy and whatever was left from hitting the statue when he used the Iron Key. Is there some other affliction one can use to stop people getting away like this?

I used to have a kata form on atellus to do just that, no clue if it is still possible after the monk changes though.

Orgbix can get annoying. As the pbase grows with more and more people who have them, expect combat to be more consistently filled with disappearing victims who don't want to lose a few points of xp or essence (lol demigodspam). As it stands now, most of the worthwhile targets who don't have a cubix will simply just spam touch orgbix if the odds aren't in their favor. The best way to stop orgbix spam is web, shieldstun (lol), or sleep.

Confusion prevents the use of any transplanar device. Distort will slow it to 2 minutes, with any action interrupting.
He insomnias, but I can't see anything trying to sleep him, not even a smoke to coltsfoot-cure it by accident. Is it possible he was divinefired but still using standard curing?

Yes, at this point of the failed gank, it was pretty easy to get away but, the orgbix doesn't make much of a difference now since I have a medallion, it's just easier to get to Magnagora with. The only way to have kept me there indefinitely would to have used a timed-insta kill, since I could have ghosted away as well.

The gank he was referring to was the one he was trying to perpetrate I think, and it didn't work out which is why he used the key.

The sequence of events was Ruiku attacked his target up, se from the pool. Aid arrived, Ruiku fired, then ghosted. He unghosted, went nw, d and fell in a pit at the pool. Climbed out of the pit and that's where this log started. I can post the whole lot if anyone's interested but didn't think it was particularly relevant.
I know from my own testing that you cannot cubix while prone, with double hemi, grappled or while webbed. I've heard from other Celestians (but haven't verified) that they're unable to use their mantles while prone. I'm trying to find out if there is a counter to these orgbixes, if they all function the same way and finally if the admin intended for these things to have such a large effect on combat.

Ghost does not break fire, AFAIK. Depending upon the time involved, he would still have been effected by divinefire ... making it extremely relevant. I believe the tabernacles are indoors (another limitation - you cannot use a transplanar device indoors, except for a bubblix on its associated bubble or a uv-lix in that area), although I don't know why he didn't move then unghost.
