So (against warnings), I just purchased and am in the process of installing this game, and already my mind is teeming with ideas. I think I am going to breathe life into my proto-Lucidians first.
Has anyone else played?
Has anyone else played?

Sorry to here it. I am personally having a ball- it's like Legos, Tinker Toys, Army Men, and dinosaurs all over again, all rolled into one. Although, the Lucidians turned out to be dragons.

I think everyone I know who played it was horribly disappointed, including me.

Were you expected the much-anticipated old-demo version? More intricate interface and stylization..? What could have made it better for you?

It's a pretty fun game, and the creator editor is great, but it didn't come anywhere close to living up to the hype. Once you reach space there's not much of a point in continuing.

I still play. I hope it's exactly like the Sims 2, where you just wait for the next one and then never go back.

I thought space was grand, but could be improved. I would be quite content with the game in general if there were simply more features; an increased number of body parts and especially interactions with other species/civilizations on all but the first tier of game play. I do not mind the game's simplicity- it's actually quite nice to play an empire-building game that at least can be low maintenance- but it can be tedious (going back and forth in a universe spanning hundreds of stars and thousands of planets), and for various reasons I get the impression that they rushed things or the budget or creative well dried up after the second tier.

I am not sure how it works yet, but I wouldn't mind some company or competition as get past the defunct registration process.

Weird.

Success! Search "Godlow" for my creations, if you are interested. I am intent on making evolutionary parodies of IRE-unqiue races.

It was fun for a while, but it got old fast.
