Ok, so the files demonstrate it in use in or compiled for mudlet. But the lua in the formatting is pretty simple, and the color stuff could be pulled out fairly easily.

It's a function to format text, especially for alerts, though it could be used to build ascii Tables of Contents with a moderate amount of tweaking. I'd suggest removing the color stuff for that also.
