Mudlet 1.1.0 is here - free, userfriendly and powerful - available for Windows, Linux and Macs.
The new version has a lot of new features, so even the announcement had to be split up into two posts:
Casual overview
Overview for scripters
Enjoy!

I'm obviously biased.. but.. yay!

demonnic, you're such a fanboi. Hehehe!
But in all seriousness, this is an excellent release! The Composer is such an awesome feature, means I don't have to switch to Nexus when I want to write something!

Halp... I installed demonnic's mudlet system, so as to extract some code from it like affliction lines, and then deleted the rest... but now I have this huge black space between my text input box and the game's main output window. Is there a function to turn everything back to normal?

One begins to think that maybe Mudlet should look into a way to revert changes like that after removing a script that changes the interface. More intuitively, at least.
Vadi2010-03-19 19:20:13
It is intuitive - go to Settings, Main window, and set the bottom border to zero. You can have a border around all four sides for you to place gauges, scripts, etc in (but not require, you can have them in the middle of your screen if you want).
Just requires some knowledge of what's going on.

Ah. Just seems like we've been getting a lot of "I installed this script, got rid of it and everything is broken, OH NOES!"
Vadi2010-03-19 19:49:55
Yeah. It's not a script setting to change the border, they call a function. The user can also manually change their border. As such, trying to track which script changes the border and when is... unnecessarily complex and prone to errors. But if people know what the border is, then it's not a problem at all. So I'd say education here is better.

yeah, it's generally easiest if you install to a clean profile if you're just wanting to grab some objects out of it. If you have requests for specific pieces of code, lemme know, I can break it out for you.
Nezha2010-03-29 15:16:28
is mudlet going to support python in the near future?
Vadi2010-03-29 15:20:09
not unless someone would like to add support for it. pythoneers are getting along with lua fine / effort is best placed in developing new features, not duplicating the api for another language / nick gammon recommended against it as well. working out good so far.

So it's obvious how to change the font size on miniconsoles... but is there a function to change the font size and wrapwidth of the main window? I use two monitors alternately (netbook monitor or big monitor) and an alias to change the settings back and forth would make things a lot easier
Vadi2010-04-18 01:36:22
I don't believe so for the font size. For wrapping, try using wrapLine and "main" as the window name - not sure if it'd work, but that's how these type of functions are setup typically.
