I'm putting together another RP project for Winnae, kind of like the attack on Hallifax, only more serious (since that was obviously a joke). But it has to do with Magnagoran RP, and how to go about doing it, and I am wondering what people think about that in general. Here are my biggest questions/concerns:

1. I feel as if Magnagoran RP kind of lost something when Glomdoring came out. This is a long time ago, but Magnagora used to be the "night" place, what with the "Midnight Cathedral", and you still see references to "Midnight" all over the place. But what does Midnight mean or stand for? What is its significance and what, if any, relationship does it have with mother night? What does Magnagora have to do with night that distinguishes it from Glomdoring?

2. Taint and industry are nice, but Magnagora doesn't seem to make anything industrial that interacts with players. The taint RP is obvious, but how do you "act out" and otherwise get involved with an industry theme?

I personally don't really RP much other than the Earth theme myself. I'm very big on it with Ongaku (e.g. he loves taking dust baths, isn't afraid to get down in the dirt and has little to no fear of rot, bugs, etc.), but it seems that a lot of Magnagorans seem to... ignore it.

I think having more RP that pays homage to the Earth aspect (like everyone kowtowing at the Megalith so they're closer to the dirt, as you suggested) would be great, honestly, and would definitely convince Ongaku that most Magnagorans aren't just uppity, prim-and-proper nobles with sticks shoved where the sun don't shine.

I actually have a lot more than what I've done so far, but I figure it's better not to do it all at once. Unfortunately, people seem to have gotten bored of kowtowing already

If you don't mind something that is strictly mechanical, consider lich stat differences and regeneration at night/during the day. Note that moon phase has no impact on this. Why? Create your own IC reasons.
