Mm-hm. According to Imperian players defending the game's credit prices, that sticker shock (around 13,000 gold per credit, IIRC) is due to high-level bashing areas yielding far more gold than their counterparts in other IRE games. It's still roughly the same return-on-investment you'll find in other IRE games, they say, which does make sense. In addition, they say it's dead easy to level up in Imperian, so the fact that those lucrative gold yields are high-level only doesn't punish new players too badly.

In other words, it's just superficial inflation. Their credits have the same value as ours (roughly), but their gold pieces are only worth about 50% as much.

I kind of like Imperian's "one bashing area per 10 levels per org" thing they've got going on, but I'm only level 44 there, so I dunno how it works out higher than that.
