I've made it my task to find out what zaps the Demigods have! Some of them are pretty cool, and some of them are a tad weird. Tell us what you made yours into! Or what you want to make it into.

So far I have:
Ruiku - Crimson blood crackles with electricity as it streaks across the firmament.
Crimson blood crackles with electricty as it flashes through the air. As it envelops your body, the electricity sears your flesh, leaving you caked in dried blood.

Siam - Slaughs soar the skies, their mad cackle a jarring chorus that resounds across the area.
Hellish cackles and wicked smiles of mad slaughs induce psychedelic stimuli which assault your senses, momentarily numbing them as they whip wicked energies across your frame.

Solanis - Arcing high in the sky, a flight of silvery flechettes whistles through the air.
Arcing high in the sky, a flight of silvery flechettes whistles through the air towards you, slicing through your body.

Ssaliss - The shadows around you suddenly rustle, but quickly settle down.
As the voice of Ssaliss softly whispers your name, shadows swarm from the ground, enveloping you. With a sudden jolt of energy, they disperse as quickly as they came.

If I ever get Demigod, I had kinda hoped to have mine as "The mocking giggles of Pectus echo across the skies as a shape zooms by." "Shadows suddenly loom over you, blocking out the sun. You look up and are barely able to make out a giant spatula before it crushes down on you."


Sidenote: Siam's is an acid trip.

I just wish I could change my zap type to asphyxiation Would likely make it ten times better.

Oh my gods I want to be a demigod so bad. >< Here's what I want for my zap:

"The sounds of a thousand tiny creatures burrowing into the earth preludes a giant boulder crashing from the heavens."

"The sounds of tiny claws scratching against the earth as creatures burrow to escape your area can be heard. Looking up into the sky, you have only a moment to react before a giant boulder comes crashing down onto your head."

Unfortunately, zaps have to be electric, and the messages should indicate this. Not sure if they actually uphold it (given some of the zaps posted here), but meh.

Oh, Pectus! Now my secret zap ain't so secret anymore. I wanted people to think all of Wydyr's slaughs has been unleashed upon them. But it's you, so I guess I'll be a bit okay with this.

The strictness of enforcement on this has been steadily and gradually decreasing, with the result that each new generation of demigods can have zaps more "awesome" than the previous one was permitted, and gets to congratulate themselves for it accordingly.

If I ever manage to get Seretenin to Demi, (Tekora's a trill, way too squishy to bash), I imagine his zap might go something like this.

You are suddenly chilled to the very core of your being as you are overcome by the presence of an unfathomable emptiness, but it quickly passes.

An unseen force grips your body as numbness fills your senses and the darkness takes you. When you regain consciousness, you feel as if you have lost a piece of yourself that you can never regain.

I've noticed this too, but don't mind so much since I know their zaps don't really do all that much more damage than my needle-poke zap... and that just makes it all the more satisfying to me.

Can't blame the admin, though, with so many more people attaining demi and struggling to work within the parameters.

It's a challenge to make a zap original if you stick to them being actual lightning, which is why I think people have settled for other forms of magical lightshows which are electrical in nature.

Also, other zaps today:

Krellan-A palpable aura of power surrounds Krellan as a crackling ball of energy forms in the sky, pulsing blindingly before streaking to earth. A reverberating sonic boom echoes the lightning's passing.

Sidd-An indistinct ripple distorts the air around Sidd as he makes a slight gesture of his forefinger, a sly glint playing off his eyes.

Celina-Celina lifts her gaze as a shadow descends upon the area. High above, black clouds blot out the sky as a storm sends bolts of lightning streaking into the distance.

Narynth-Narynth raises two fingers to her lips, drawing them away as a figment emerges in her exact likeness. She mouths a single name, and the spirit smiles coyly before streaking off.

Thul-Looking briefly furious, Thul breathes forth a thin cloud of grey fog before relaxing. Seemingly alive, the fog coils about in the air before vanishing into the ground.

I've got psionic powers. That's my excuse.

And I'm a wiccan with a krazy slaugh harem.

But hey, we use 10,000 of our own essence whenever we zap so I guess that could be a factor to the individuality of each custom zap.

Ew. Why would you want them?

Actually, I'm a fan of the diversity of the Keph Queens' personalities. These slaughs are my first step towards getting maaaany slaugh dwellers. Bahahahaha.

Light show has always been acceptable as a substitute for actual lightning, but a lot of them have nothing even remotely possible to justify with the lightning damage type, and that makes it so much easier to come up with a really appropriate and cool one.

Which I wish I'd known before making mine in adherence to the stated rules. Also the length rules. >:(
