Can anyone suggest a good way to train figurines?

I think the way it works is you put them in battles and if they win, they gain levels and get stronger and last longer.

Would be nice if you could make them permanent (albeit still gaining/losing levels).

Yeah, but if they lose, they also lose 1~2 months off their shelf life, which is sad. losewings.gif Maybe there's a way to train them without sacrificing a lot of level 1 figurines? dribble.gif

It would be nice if there was some arts skill that allowed us to repair them an X number of times. pray.gif

It would be nice if miniatures weren't so expensive to upkeep and didn't decay as easily.

Just level it a few times, then put it into the ring with a lot of smaller ones. Esano has one that has over 1100 months of decay time, and gods know what level, because he spent a long ass time training it.
Ameryth2010-09-20 01:30:46
It was, what, 32 last I heard. I'm happy, because my Inn sells figurines to train on!
Esano2010-09-20 09:43:12
1100 months? Level 32? Your information is so out of date it's not even funny.
CODE
Terae, Lady of the Wounded Crust, is an enormous mass of earth wrapped within a blackened crust that has taken on a vaguely feminine shape. The blackened crust is a thick layering of highly compressed earth that has been charred black and is marred by countless scar-like cracks that spread all over its surface. What passes for hair are thick clumps of dead rotting vines from some unknown vegetation that hangs down all around the head so thickly that it hides any glimpse of the visage that lies underneath.
It has 1488 months of usefulness left.
It appears to be of level 45.
It is wrapped in a miniature cloak, which appears to have 50 uses left.
It weighs about 31 pounds.

Yes, I train it by feeding it level 1 figurines. A lot. Thirty plus at a go!

EDIT: For more information, whenever a figurine 'kills' another, the losing figurine loses a bit of decay time and the winning figurine gains about 1/4 of that. Figurines start off with 75 months. So it's most efficient if you feed them to it one at a time, but it's much more amusing to do it in a group of thirty to fifty. The spam is ridiculous.

I don't even understand how to put them in a ring together and make them fight, though I have two. :|

It helps to know where to look.

From what I've seen so far, the winner seems to gain the loser's level in months, while the loser decays by the winner's level in months.
