Much like my earlier trigger, this more advanced plugin is designed to quickly calculate the costs of producing a particular item based upon its commodity requirements.

In addition, this plugin allows:
  • Easy manual updating of commodity prices and adding of new commodities.
  • Automatic updating of commodity prices if you see a lower price in WARES while in a shoprift or commodity store - this also automatically adds new commodities.
  • Above functionality now extended to work with the new portal search shops display.
  • Will track and save shopowners (including cities and villages) in the above scenario, allowing you to quickly track down where they were sold at that price.
  • Disabling of the above functionality if you prefer complete control over your commodity prices.
  • Still allows you to manually set the seller.
  • Saved commodity prices and shopkeeper lists from session to session.
  • Customizable markup percentage, where a second line is printed (after the production cost) with the markup percentage applied.
  • Listing of all known commodities and their price, or you can select a single commodity rather than search the list.

Typing comms followed by something (including a misspelled command) will list the various syntaxes.

Screenies!

Price: 5cr. Send me a message ingame with your email so I can actually send it to you.

When I finish moving over to MUSHclient I won't have to rewrite as much of Workbench as I expected. Nice stuff.

Wow this is shinier than I expected. Thanks for the screenshots. Does this include support if there are bugs?

Of course! I'll also take requests for new features, so long as they aren't too complex.

At about 10pm Australia time - making it about twelve hours ago now.

One thing I don't see is whether or not there is a command to display the current prices for each commodity and what shop listed them at that lowest price?

The former, yes. The latter, no. It's something I've considered adding (and it's quite possible to do so, within limits), but I decided to put the plugin up before spending time implementing that, as it's not something I would find much use for and I wanted to gauge interest first.

Update! The plugin now stores the shopkeeper (including cities and villages) who sold it at that price, and prints this when you use comms show . If it's manually set, it'll tell you. If it's unknown (ie from before this update) it'll tell you. You can manually set the shopokeeper, too.

This has been sent around to those who had previously bought the plugin. You shouldn't lose your old comm list in this situation, but obviously it won't know who sold them.

Any problems, let me know.

Another update! The plugin is now expanded to work with the nifty new PORTAL SEARCH SHOPS functionality - excellent way to find cheap gems.

In this situation, it will store the shop name as the proprietor, not the shop owner.
