I'm looking to put together a master list of all the designs for all the trades in Lusternia (and I'm aware how insane it is). So anyone who wants to send me information please do so by category and make sure the format you use is at least readable. I'd appreciate as much information as possible (item number, category, short desc, long desc, etc) but anything you feel like sending shoot my way.
Send all the info to Nepthysia@gmail.com. After the site is up I will post it here.

Kharaen has the first 10,000 or so designs catalogued. Save yourself grief and find her.
Nariah2010-09-05 08:58:25
Only Kharaen's catalogue don't have the long desc. But Lendren's Workbench Craft helps gather everything in a blink of an eye.
Svorai2010-09-05 09:16:05
Very intrigued with this Workbench Craft thing of Lendren's...
Unless you've found them already, I have all the jewelry items in a fairly nice format. Including comms (almost finished updating those from when they increased), long, short and dropped description.
Are you just looking for public designs?

If you want, I've already almost finished my manual with jewelery, sorted out a to z in terms of commodity costs, with a special note for the cheapest of each set with descriptions. But it' needs to be finished.
now Kharaen's needs to be updated, all the trades need to be fixed with commodity cost, and maybe also include some new items. Been working on the commodity costs changing as well, but you will have grief
If you want, split up the work?

To anyone trying to do this manually I say - save yourself grief, get Lendren's workbench. Not only will it gather everything, sort everything and let you search through it however you want, it will put everything into a scroll for you with one command and then serve you coffee.

But also note that it's only for zMUD and it inherits -- and then, at times, strains to the breaking point -- zMUD's inherent instability.
Yes, I do intend to eventually write something like it for MUSHclient. No, it's not going to happen this week, or this month, or by any other timeline I can promise right now.
(Incidentally, the main reason I wrote it is why you won't be getting my designs for your compilation -- any time I published my designs anywhere, people started plagiarizing them, so Workbench Craft lets me show people my designs, and help me help them find the right ones, but also lets me know who's been seeing them so I can try to avoid them plagiarizing en masse.)

Any chance that it could be formatted for the Lusternia Lore Wiki? The trade design section was one of my favorite parts of Scrying Pool. It was especially helpful for me to understand stylistic conventions so that I could design across all trades (and I'm a poisoner mind you).
On a more personal note, I need to complete the following list. Need info where ever you see a **** or ???. Also want to collect all nekai and master nekai designs. This list greatly helps Nekotai pick gear that is appropriately themed for the guild (and encourages continued Nekotai-themed submissions across all trades).

The Lore wiki's not going to host a huge pile of designs, for various reasons. You could certainly go make your own at wikispaces.com; there's already a CRAFTWIKI command in Craft which exports any subset of designs you want in a format that's already ready to paste straight into that site, and wikispaces.com is fast, easy, and free.
Nepthysia2010-09-05 13:42:15
I'm not worried about getting any private/patent designs. IE if it's something you don't want other people to see then don't send it. I've had a lot of these hesitations and it's just unwarranted. Obviously if you don't want something seen, don't show it.
Diamondais2010-09-05 13:59:18
They aren't up to date or finished, I don't have time to do it anymore but can at least get some of the long descs:

Lendren, my lists are public only. Was thinking about doing another book that's just private designs for different cartels, and locking it up in a library and letting only the cartel heads of each cartel look through them. But that's a long ways off.
So if anyone creates a updated public list, let me know, and I'll get Lawliet or Shulamit to produce it enmass as copies, and I'll put them up for commodity price as the shop.
