Throughout October, I was collecting the XP gain from the various denizens that I killed/influenced. Here is the data:

Bashing:
CODE
an orc brave: 660
an orc archer: 1210
a fearsome orc warrior: 1300
an aged orc elder: 1070

a krokani guard: 1190
a female krokani: 1230
Tshura, an aged krokani: 1000
Kar'chen, Lord of the krokani: 1300

an aslaran warrior: 1360
a female aslaran: 1300
Bheion, an aslaran mystic: 1410
Ciarrus, leader of the aslarans: 2340

a ghostly wolf: 830
a monstrous gravedigger: 1500
an aetheretic slivven: 1710
a mighty quinotaur: 2180

Aetherhunting (Edit: values are based on level, these numbers are for those who are Level 86):
CODE
A forestal gargantuan: 4850
A vortex karibidean: 8310

A six-headed scyllus: 3020
A black dragon: 24530

Influencing:
CODE
A monk disciple in grey robes: 2260
A brother of enlightenment: 2890
Enlightened Inthal/Ulan/Maccan/Cuetal: 3270
Master Quettle: 4920

Guards are interesting, cause the XP gain from influencing them isn't fixed and it varies, so I put the average and standard deviation in:
CODE
A jade-armoured Wyvern Rider:
Average               2370.978261
Standard Deviation    48.72378977

A Red Hand of the Illuminati :
Average               2375.32345
Standard Deviation    92.18060349

Initially, I intended to use the last week of October to go around the Basin to kill/influence popular mobs, but midterms meant that I had to stop, so I couldn't get some data that I wanted (eg. parasites/nagas/Astral)
Also, I had the triggers all ready to capture how much XP does bringing in scholars, bards and pilgrims give, but I forgot about it.
So if you've also been collecting data, do contribute as well!

So, what to do with the data? Hrm, I guess the one thing I learnt from this was that what I initially thought of as 'low-level' mobs actually give quite decent XP!
Also, I also learnt exactly how amazing dragons are. (1 dragon = 10 guards)

Incidentally, I heard from a rather reliable source that Titan to demi is something on the order of 3.3m EXP, but I didn't pay enough attention to figure that out for sure.

I'm fairly certain aether exp is divided amongst the crew, though, so a crew of 6 earns more EXP/Kill than does a crew of 10.

I'm pretty sure it's more than that.

It's definitely more than that. I got about 3 million xp one week, and that was only a part of the way through 94. tongue.gif
Unknown2010-11-01 20:23:47
The amounts have been posted in the past, I think. It's more like 500 times that amount.
Aerotan2010-11-01 20:53:34
I didn't log it, but it was two 3's followed by a lot of 0's. Might have been 330,000,000. I dunno, there were no commas.

Incorrect. It used to, but the aethercraft review changed that. Now you get an amount of experience dependant upon your level (which is halved if you are in a collector). EDIT: That is, that's the only effect on how much experience you get - your level, what you kill, and your module. Doesn't matter how many other people are there.

That means that the above amount for aethermobs is likely incorrect for any but whatever level Caerulo's at.
Mirami2010-11-01 21:12:22
Yeah, aether XP scales. dragons for me are about 27k (level 88), and they're about 35k for Rika (Demigod). So, definitely scales.
Rika2010-11-01 21:47:34
I think titan -> demi is about 20 million.

I'm also pretty sure I was only getting around one third of the essence weekrank told me I should have been getting.
Unknown2010-11-01 21:51:05
Ah, once again I was looking at the numbers in the wrong way to answer the question at hand. The difference between 99 and 100 is about 330 million points.

And, essence is not equal to XP. It's a divisor, which you've already discovered.

Meh, I asked someone to check their weekrank gain was the same as mine, and they told me it was the same. (obviously they were not the same level) dry.gif

So, no one else logged their gain?
Unknown2010-11-02 05:59:38
I didn't log it, but I find it funny how without deaths I had around 7 to 8 mil in WEEKRANK while gaining about 1 to 2 mil essence in SCORE.

Easiest way would be to just have it match on SCORE, so make a trigger that matches on:

CODE
Level \\: (\\d+) \\((+)%\\)

Then stick the script in there.

Yes, I had my calculation function, though I removed it as it will be part of the utility script compilation I have been working on for the last few weeks.

Sorry.

Curses. I missed my chance for its deliciousness.

Note to self, stop being so lazyslow about everything.
