So, the above thirty-seven lines happened in the same second. A similar number happens every second you're in the room, and you have a chance to be pushed back into it while you're gibbering and trying to escape the spam. Please reduce its frequency?
In case it helps, this was caused by two aslaran and one loboshigaru in one place.

Wow, I knew monks attacked fast, but I didn't know they were that fast.
Although, at first when I saw the title, I thought it was referring to someone who has all the bards, scholars, pilgrims and cows following.

I wonder how much lag it's causing.

When I first encountered these, I ran into a room of 4 aslarans and 3 monks, and didn't see any more text than I'd normally see bashing a single mob. Then I walked into a room with one of each, and got slammed with as much spam as a 10v10 domoth fight.
I have a feeling whatever code was written to determine the frequency of attacks was bugged, much like a lot of other things in this event.

QUOTE
19.5 BUGS, IDEAS, AND TYPOS
Inevitably, there will be times when you'll want to speak to the Creators (the
administration), in order to
- report a bug (an error in the game), (command: BUG)
- report a typo in the game, (command: TYPO, TYPOHERE)
- to ask a specific question, (command: ISSUE)
- or to give them an idea for the game. (command: IDEA)
For -bugs-, the command is BUG. Please give as much
detail as possible. Tell us when, and how it happened. Tell us what happened
before. Tell us if anything changed recently. The more detail you give, the
better chance we have of finding and fixing your problem.
For -typos-, the command is TYPO (or TYPOHERE). This
can be anything where there is a misspelling or misused word. We really do want
to hear about this sort of thing, so don't be shy! If the error is in a room
name or title or something else about a room, use TYPOHERE or even TYPO
HERE (both will work). That way, the typo report will include something
about where you were when you submitted the typo report.
You can see all of your active bugs with LISTBUGS. To see a full list of
commands relating to your active bugs, including ways to add more detail and
delete bugs, simply type BUG.
For -questions-, try contacting your guild, city, or order patron. If you don't
know how to do this, or don't have any of those, try using ISSUE ME. See HELP
ISSUES for more details.
For -ideas-, the command is IDEA. Submit your idea, in as
great a detail as you wish, and then wait. Who knows? You may see your idea
affect the game. Many have.
When submitting ideas, please put in front of it, whether this is a skill idea,
an organisation idea, a clan idea, etc... Just a short statement to better aid
us in sorting them out.

Nowhere does it say 'make a forum thread', and leave the bug to go unreported.

The cure to this conundrum is to just kill them. They aren't difficult, even in groups, though you'll get enemied to their faction (Tosha or Rashaala).
Eventru2010-12-19 17:35:57
Or you can influence them with weakening, as people have been told a half dozen times, and not get enemied to anywhere!
