Homestuck General! My hand was finally pushed into making this thread. By its very nature it will be spoilery so if you don't know what Homestuck is and/or expect to read it ever then uh do that before looking here I guess? It is mostly a place for me to make comments about updates and things, and to stop clogging other threads up with said goofy comments. Everyone wins!

Like, has anyone noticed how the trolls and kids tags together make up two-letter combinations of the abbreviations of Cytosine, Adenine, Guanine, and Thymine? >.>

The GCAT thing has been noted by Hussie multiple times, so yes.

That's actually why there are trolls.

Hussie has said he noticed with the 4 kids, three of them had that pattern, so he decided to add the rest, and added the flashback about John changing his from GT.

Not true! The trolls were planned from the very start. He didn't expect to go into them individually quite as much as he did- but the presence of a group of players/antagonists who had already been through the game was set.

I know he said something about noticing that patern and getting an idea from it. Maybe it was just the number of trolls.

I can't even read other topics without three or four posts saying "lol, I noticed that so long ago."
I suppose I should make a Homestuck General LITE thread.

Hussie tends to plan very loose ideas, then fit things together around them, just because. The trolls are the zodiac. The trolls are more GCAT pairs. It's actually really fun how he pieces together all these random elements so nicely, making them seem planned even if they weren't from the start.

It's one of the things I really like about MSPA in general. Switching from Problem Sleuth, it's interesting to see him do a story that actually has a loosely-planned plot, instead of reader-controlled randomness. I think it's an improvement, to be honest. PS was good, but it had a tendency to drag on like crazy. The first act of Homestuck has this problem too, back when readers controlled it.

Once Hussie cut off the suggestion box, the pace really picked up. End of Act 2 is really where I got hooked, even though I really did enjoy all the fussing about with the retarded sylladex in Act 1, heheh. I do like that he brings it back for unimportant things too (like the naming of the trolls being done by readers). The flash at End of Act 2 seemed so epic at the time, but going back to look at it now...wow the expectations for amazing flashes have really been raised.

You could try looking at this once in awhile. =O

More stuff to look at while waiting for Homestuck to update! o:

Argh. After seeing Phoebus post about it a lot, I decided to start reading. So, I finish up my Data Structures homework, start reading...and they mention stacks. Why, Poebus, why?!?

I was so scared when that tiny purple honk showed up in the corner while Terzei was inspecting Tavros. "Oh god, Terzei, run! Run for your life!!!"

So, has anyone noticed a resemblance between them and their patron-troll? Mine is Gamzee, but I never thought of myself as too laidback.
