There's something I felt like sharing, but we didn't have a Minecraft thread yet, so now we do. =O

Little known fact, I am actually a druid outside of Lusternia as well. 8D

And from the top looking at where I was.

Still need to work on it's 'branches' some. Then I'm planning to build a bunch of others of varying sizes around it, and completely littering the ground between them with normal trees.

That thing going straight across my screen would be the Minecraft version of Alabaster Road cruelly splitting my poor forest in half. >:( Except I'm kind of building the forest around around my friends minecart track instead of vice versa. <__<

Anybody else have some fun Minecraft projects to share with us?

No, but I do like to play it. I usually make single player games, and then just head east for days and days. Or search for clay, cause I lurve brick houses, alas. I use to play multiplayer, but, the last server I put time on was well, people stole my stuff. I found a new one, let's see if I can find my way out of the mine I fell into though, heh.

I really like the tower, yup yup.
Lehki2011-02-21 07:17:53
Yeah people can be dicks, I would keep all my good stuff hidden inside of underwater caves or behind giant walls of lava. Doing this project on my friends private server to avoid that.

Also rar rar, it's a giant tree trunk, not a tower. ):
Shulamit2011-02-21 07:20:23
Sorry! Yeah, the new server is a lot smaller, so I don't have to worry about things. And uhm, it's a nice tree trunk. I meant tree trunk! sad.gif

I want to play, but I don't feel like paying for it. I do sometimes mess around in Sandbox mode though

I love Minecraft! Explore for days on end. biggrin.gif The best project I've seen is one that my flatmate did, I'll see if I can get some screenshots of it. (rollar coasters and glass rooms and OH MY GOD A TOWER OF PURE GLASS... reminds me of Hallifax) Typically, I just play zombie apocolypse with it: find a mountain, make a flat spot, erect a mud hut, go explore. Accidentally light trees on fire, and destroy the wood in trees to make floating ones! Hide at night like a scared rabbit, freak out slightly IRL over creepy noises, survive the night to do it all over again. Night is far TOO LONG.

Also, Lehki, I see you don't play in Newfie mode. Do you normally have to turn on the fog to play? I find it can lag at times if you don't.

I'm not sure what Newfie mode is. o,o Newbie? I have the fog at a medium level.

And did you say TOWER OF PURE GLASS(that is encased in water)?!?

I like tall things. <__<

Good sir, I am impressed by your tall and sparkly tower.

In regards to Newfie... I realize now that not everyone is Canadian and won't get it. The reference there is to Newfoundland, the fog-covered rock province. laugh.gif So, playing with the fog on high = Newfie mode.

I was thinking of adding a bunch of haphazardly placed torches to the inside so it's all glowy at night. And O I C, nah my computer can handle it fairly well without the fog.
Shulamit2011-02-21 21:42:55
Oh, can you stick torches to glass now? I hadn't been able to before, ergh. Which was annoying in the brick and glass houses I always try and make, I wanted to put torches everywhere! I don't like tall stuff so much, I just go out expeditions to find clay! And lots of it, meeeer.

Am I the only one who wishes you could make it so it's permanently daytime?
Shulamit2011-02-21 22:09:42
It would be nice if when you had it on peaceful, it was always daytime. Make a certain sense, since it no longer needs to be night, what with the no monsters and such.

I would adore that.. Though I don't really need daylight anymore as somehow my whole bloody forest caught on fire.

Surface lava somewhere. It can be pretty awful

Shouldn't be hard to run a multiplayer server on your box and just be the only one to use it.. Admins can just set the time to whatever they want. I used to do it all the time when Mael Eoin was keeping our server up, since he turned monsters back on when the bugs were fixed and the spiders and creepers totally freak me out. I'd usually be around when no one else was, so I just spammed /time and enjoyed myself.
Llesvelt2011-02-22 07:50:05
I always play with the full cycle of day/night, it is far more fun to build at night, I find.
Shulamit2011-02-22 07:59:40
I am currently baking fifty billion bricks. Errrgggghhh. Stupid bricks, make faster! When it's done though, I'll have three full stacks of brick building blocks, woo.
