So I've been playing Civilization IV BTS far more than I should lately, but I have yet to try a PBEM (play by e-mail) game of Civilization. So I wondered if someone here wanted to play a Succession game with me. If you're wondering why I'm asking here and not on Civfanatics, it's cause I also want to make it a bit Lusternia themed for extra fun.

Anyone interested?

I don't have the BTS expansion and my computer likes to slow down drastically when playing, but I love Civ.

Using regular Civ should not be a problem. I even personally prefer the regular civ espionage to BTS espionage so if it'll bring you in, and possible to do, we're running regular.

I might be up for a Fall from Heaven 2 succession game, maybe even a submod of that? Orbis? It's an incredible mod, really brings the game alive.

The only FFH mod I have is what I've heard is the latest one, Master of Mana.

How do I get this Fall From Heaven mod, and how do I make it work? I've looked it up a little, but the instructions weren't very newbie-friendly.

Double-post. You know, it couldn't be that hard to write a script that automatically scans for identical posts made within 60 seconds of each other by the same person, and deletes appropriately.

I just got IV again, my other copy is scattered amongst all the movie boxes and my grandparents home in Canada so no use to me here, and probably no use to me back home either, but alas, my internet blocks it, elsewise I would join you.

Internet blocks all downloads? PBEM is where you play a bit, then send the savegame as a file attachment by mail or something. Then you download the save and open it, play your round and send it to the next one down the list.

Of course, if it blocks patching, it probably still won't work.

I've tried it on another game, didn't work, patches don't work, can't log on to my Steam account except in Offline mode, etc. Give me a few months, if you're still interested!

Heh. I'll be happy to wait.

Though I do want to play a succession game with at least three players soon too.
