Lost Aries. Heaven's Gate. Asgard. The path from the old world to the new one has been long and difficult, but through it all, Princess... no, Queen Yggdra has refused to give up, refused to yield even an inch. With the Holy Sword in hand she pushes onwards into the gardens of the gods, taking upon herself the task to once and for all ensure that the crimes committed upon the planes by the gods of Asgard would never repeat, never again.

As she now stands near the top of Heaven's Gate, she turns to watch her army. Many of her commanders are people she considers her friends and allies, but among her number she also sees faces she never thought she would fight besides. People who were once her enemies are now her allies. They who burns with a desire for justice and freedom that she herself seeks has been brought here by the power of the Gran Centurion. And yet she does not feel at ease. A new challenge is approaching. She can feel it. She turns back to gaze into Asgard, to meet the sight of a robed, shadowy figure. "I must congratulate you on making it this far Princess Yggdra. However, your advance will stop here."

"No, what will stop is the abuse of the Asgardians upon mortals! Your selfish desires have brought nothing but war and strife to our home, and created a world where sister must fight brother, where husband must fight against wife. We will not stand for this!"

"We? What "we" Yggdra? Do you know what lurks in the hearts of those who follow you? Your conviction may be strong, but certainly there are those among you whose conviction is not quite, shall we say up to pace? And it is that doubt who will give me victory as they betray you. Your little rebel army will fall in on itself." Even as the being speaks, mist floods in from the air and wraps itself around Yggdra's army, hiding everyone behind a veil of illusion.

The holy laws, as decreed by Queen Yggdra.

Voting is required to be in the format VOTE . Voting must be bolded to count.

Please UNVOTE if you wish to change your vote.

Day lasts until one of the following happens: a player has a majority of votes, nolynch has a majority of votes, or a deadline comes.

Once a player or no lynch hits a majority, it is Twilight. No amount of unvoting will make any difference at this point. You may continue to talk until I post the results of the lynch and declare that it is Night.

I reserve the right to call a deadline at any time if a day is taking too long. At deadline, the player with most votes will be lynched. In case of a tie, no one will be lynched.

After the day ends and the lynching occurs, it is Night. If you do not declare your night-choice within a reasonable window of time, I will count that as ‘No Action’. As a general rule of thumb, 'reasonable' will be 24 hours or so. Let me know if you're going to be absent and we'll sort out a workaround. Please notify me, even if you wish to not use your action.

Day will restart as soon after Night deadline as possible.

Do not quote anything relevant to the game from outside the thread. That includes PMs or parts of PMs from me, PMs from people you can talk to at night, or random observations third parties make elsewhere. You're smart enough to paraphrase.

Do not talk about this game outside the game, unless your role permits.

Do NOT edit your posts. Ever. Period. Even to fix typos. Double post if you have to.

If you're not going to be available for more than 48 hours, let me know. If you're not going to be available for more than a week, I reserve the right to find a replacement.

Anyone who breaks either the game or these rules will be slain by the perverted justice of Asgard. They really aren't very hard. If you are unsure as to whether you are breaking a rule, PM me to clarify.

As a note, I'm not going to be modvigging people for determining scum by looking at people's profile views. It's your own fault if you get caught that way. Don't PM via the profile, because everyone can see you visited theirs.

All roles unless specified can use their power during day and night, but only once per time period. PM me if you are confused.

I'm here. And, as always during day 1, completely clueless.

As the sun rises upon Heaven's Gate, the fog begins to disperse, and all of Yggdra's followers have been encased in illusions, distorting their voice and appearance. Unprepared for this, none of you have any idea who the others are. But as people begin to despair from the loss of Yggdra as a leader-figure, the illusion around Ssaliss begins to pulse. Ssaliss lifts a shining sword up into the air, and as the rays of the sun hits it, the illusion of Ssaliss disperses completely, leaving Yggdra standing clear as the leader-figure of the revolution.

"Your illusions will not work on me Hector!"

"That may be, but even now, your friends are succumbing to their doubts. You will fail Yggdra, for you know not who you can trust!"

Ssaliss is Yggdra and Town!

It is now day 1.

Oh. And here I was hoping that, y'know... they wouldn't actually know know. Just flavor know. Le sigh.
Diamondais2011-03-16 22:18:32
Uh, hi. That was a strange start.
Unknown2011-03-16 22:20:15
That... is an odd way to start things off. Was that a power, or was that built into the game to occur uncontrollably?
Ssaliss2011-03-16 22:22:10
Well, my role mentions everyone knowing who I am, so I'd say it was uncontrollable. Either that, or someone's really lucky and has a power to dispel illusions and did it before the day started.
Razenth2011-03-16 22:25:50
O_O

... are you immune to day/night kills? Cause we might as well put a target on you now and write you off as lost :|
Ssaliss2011-03-16 22:28:01
I won't say anything about my powers yet tongue.gif
Ushaara2011-03-16 22:30:12
Hi hi. Also here and desperately trying to learn more about the theme.

Ah, okay. That's helpful to know.

I wouldn't say that right off, Razenth. This is Kiradawea we're dealing with. If the role has a downside of being revealed at the start of the game, I imagine there's going to be some fair measures of protection that we can assume come with it.
Razenth2011-03-16 22:33:34
True. He could be like Cao Cao and have a bodyguard. I rather hope he's more like Lu Bu though and have total immunity.
Unknown2011-03-16 22:35:27
Regardless, we do know there is one person we can trust implicitly, which is generally more than what we get to work with on day 1.
Ssaliss2011-03-16 22:36:37
Don't look at me for info though. Assume I know as much as you do.
Shamarah2011-03-16 22:54:28
Random Vote: Ushaara
Llesvelt2011-03-16 22:58:55
So. First day.
Lilia2011-03-16 23:04:41
Kira said she was working with a way to keep flavor from determining scum. I'm assuming this is the 'common enemy' thing, we're all fighting against the gods? I don't know anything about the flavor source, but I'll be looking at the links Kira put up. It seems the scum in this game are people who have 'doubt'. Any thoughts on what that might mean? They don't like Yggdra, or they don't think we can fight the gods? Just speculating. No clue if this is even worth talking about.
Kalaneya2011-03-16 23:05:38
Hi guys, just checking in.
Ilyssa2011-03-16 23:06:07
Well, this will be fun.
