So I play a Merian Lord Blademaster, and I was wondering what difference racial specializing makes? From what I've read so far about blademasters, its all about afflicting wounds as fast as possible and try to outpace the curing system, but Igasho have a lvl 2 slower balance and equilibrium. Does the specialization make up for the the disadvantages?

You'll do fine against a large proportion of people as merian, although aslaran would also be a very viable race for you, imo.

Regarding Igasho- the general consenus is no. The racial specialization does not compensate for the balance penalty.
That said, Igasho are really freaking tough, so it isn't without advantages.

Speaking as someone who tried, failed, and still yearns to play a Tae'dae warrior, the balance penalty is absolutly crippling in combat, and even makes bashing some creatures rather difficult.
It's the main reasons why both races are being addressed in the special report.
