Not sure really where this should go, so I'll just put it in the general section, and a mod can move it as necessary!
I noticed we've got an android client linked from the website, I was curious about the possibility of an iphone client as well? As a recent iphone convert (from my flip "dumbphone"), I noticed there's no free clients that can even connect to lusty. Or maybe there's one already out there I don't know of. The only one I found was TMC - which doesn't allow connections to games that aren't already put in, and doesn't include Lusternia on the list.

Pocket MUD is free, it has a little advertisement sometimes, though.

It doesn't seem to be free anymore, there's Pocket MUD pro, but not a free version. Granted, its only a few dollars, but not being able to try it at all is going to keep me from buying it.

Wow, it's been free since forever when I got it. If there's no free version up anymore, that sucks.

Depending on what you want to do, you could also just get a telnet client and play that way. I only have a phone client in case my internet dies mid-bashing so I can save myself from dying, not to -actually- play.
Turnus2012-04-26 18:46:02
Telnet it is! Its not really for actually playing much.

I used to connect through MidpSSH. You wont have -anything- fancy, as it's just a plain telnet/SSH client, but it'll connect you just fine.
That's 100% free. Always has been and always will be.

I use mudmaster for iphone last I downloaded it was about 1.99 I rather like it, esp for when you need to pay stable fees on the fly.

I've tried all the Mud Clients on the iphone, and MUDMaster and Pocket MUD are my favorite. MUDMaster is coming along nicely, and was my go to until recently when Pocket MUD was released. I like the latter because you create triggers and the like using lua, just like Mudlet.

MUDMaster is pretty awful for me. I have the 4s and any time the screen closes for one reason or another (idles into standby, I switch windows to answer a text, etc etc) it goes really buggy and I have to close the window and restart it. This isn't long after I simply couldn't connect at all, though that bug eventually just stopped.
The keyboard goes cracky on me from time to time, lose half of it, lose the text box, can't get rid of the keyboard.
PocketMUD is also frustrating, mostly because things like <> will make the text inside them disappear - nothing to you, maybe, but a lot of stuff for me uses those and it gets very frustrating. Not to mention colour bleeding, colour not showing properly, etc etc.
I've yet to really find a client I like. I suffer MUDMaster from time to time, when I absolutely must log in and add my two cents.

The current build for MUDmaster seems to have fixed the keyboard wonkyness.. for me at least. I'd never found it too annoying, but I mainly use it for msgs, news and stable stuff.

I haven't checked if it's also compatable with iphone, but I use MUDclient on my iPad and it's not bad at all...not free, but worth the couple of bucks I paid for it
