+3 to con, +1 to other stats and 15% damage reduction outside of dmp

I personally believe that has far too much of an impact on combat considering how regularly (but also how varyingly, from God to God) they're handed out. It can literally make the difference between squishball and tank.

I'd personally love for tfs only to be given out for very special achievements or events, and otherwise for only normal favours to be given (or move the 15% damage reduction up from strongfavours+ to truefavours only, so a wider variety of favours can still be given).

Would like to hear what others think, also Gods (who probably hold their privilege to hand out favours as they please very dearly)!

You wanna know what influences pk more than truefavours and is handed out even more often?

The throne blessing.

I'd rather destroy that first than truefavours, tbh.
Kiradawea2012-06-05 21:07:52
Wouldn't making the 15% damage reduction be mobs only be a better idea than neutering the choice of what warrants a truefavour and what doesn't? I won't argue that a TF is powerful, but setting some arbitrary limit on when it can be handed out just seems silly.
Veyrzhul2012-06-05 21:08:40
Throne blessing boni are weighted and the tankiness gain from a tf, even if you had no other hps boni aside from the throne blessing, is still higher. But I agree, the throne blessing bonus is too high.

EDIT: Sure, limiting the damage reduction to mob attacks is a good idea.

The best solution is to have gods hand out tdfs to opposing factions just as freely. That way it all balances out!
Veyrzhul2012-06-05 22:34:34
That would even increase the possible gap. You'd potentially have people with only one or more tdfs (who can't use their best skills) and people with tfs on the other end of the spectrum. Not exactly what I'd call a 'best solution', but probably not a serious suggestion, anyway.

You are correct sir!

Truefavours only add +2 to CON, not +3.
Enyalida2012-06-05 23:58:54
It's three, because a normal favor adds +1 and they all stack?
Fionn2012-06-06 00:04:29
I just had a TF not long ago and it was definitely +2 con total. If you figure out where the +3 cons are coming from, let me know.

TRUE(DIS)FAVOUR
- Adds (or lowers) one point to all stats and two points to con.

Seems pretty straight forward to me.
Unknown2012-06-06 00:50:52
I am fine with nerfing truefavours, but I'm still more keen on toning down the throne blessing first!
Xenthos2012-06-06 00:55:10
I'm keenest on nerfing fixing Illuminati / Researchers.

Let's start there.
Unknown2012-06-06 01:06:32
My throne!

No nerfing my throne :(

Would changing the damage reduction to 'all' dmp help? I honestly forget about that part, I get excited about TFs for the +con and boosted skills.

Aren't they already? I thought I saw TFs showing up on bodyscan a while ago, though it has been a while so maybe I'm misremembering.
Veyrzhul2012-06-06 01:46:59
Yea, the benefits for the different favour stages are all cumulative. So it is +3 con (weighted, so you'll only get 2 actual con out of it).

Get outta my thread, Xenthos.

Only on bodyscan stats full.

The con doesn't stack that way. I have two TFs, and bodyscan shows +4 weighted con from Truefavour. When I have just one, it's +2, I promise.
Veyrzhul2012-06-06 01:56:14
It states +4 weighted con from truefavour, but are you sure it doesn't also state +2 con from favour?

Source Unweighted Weighted Total

Yup, it's just +2 weighted. (dammit, that still comes out looking stupid here this is what it looks like when it isn't mangled by copy/paste)
