I've just been given an account for the Lusternian Wiki ( here ) and will be looking to spruce things up as quickly as possible!


Right now, I really want to get the skills pages fixed and good first, so if you notice that your skillset on the wiki is missing information or is otherwise out of date, please pm me with the correct information!

Also on the list of things to do:
- Migrate from plain mediawiki formatting into templates for ease and aethetics
- Update other tables, like 'Afflictions' and 'Beasts'
- Finish Org pages
- Update Questing pages

And skillsets, I think things like that new knighthood cavalier option is absent.

I don't particularly want to head over to Viynain's website to take his data though, and will be pestering people from those guilds to send me the info!

@Ardmore: Thanks for the input. I feel that having an official (updated) wiki for the game, that anyone can point a novice to for information in creating a character, and that admins can feel comfortable posting links in HELP files and on the game website is an extremely valuable resource. It adds a certain amount of polish to the game, in a world that is increasingly plugged in and wiki-fied. I know that when I start a new/major endeavor that involves choices, I check to see if there is a wiki on the subject where I can get information and advice. One of the things that attracted me to Lusternia, coming from Achaea, was the freedom of information and degree of help I could find, that I had lacked in Achaea. I hope that in updating and expanding the wiki, it will reassure new players and give them a good idea of how to get started (And hooked) on Lusternia.

No reason we can't have two wikis. Xiel's site is -amazing-, but I don't think it is the place to have a list of all the quests in the game, or a bashing guide, ect. Yes, there is overlap in the skills listing (which you can probably copy, maybe ask Xiel nicely first to be sure), but each specializes and they complement each other.

Yeah, let's not start the whole "Xiel's is better". I think we're all pretty glad that Enyalida has volunteered to take on the pretty daunting task of running Lusternia's wiki, and we'll be lending her what help we can here-and-there, though we prefer it be completely player-run (we have enough on our plate!).

Silly folk. I'm honoured people like my little side project so much, and I wish Enyalida all the best in upkeeping the official wiki. The reason I've not put myself forward for it is because I like the freedom I have to fiddle around with formats and wording (clarifying ambiguous things, etc.) in an unofficial setting, and indeed, there will be different highlights in each project, and I hope all aspects of Lusternia become more easily understood by our future players with this!

What I'd like to see in order to distinguish the wiki from Xiel's website is for the wiki to give actual numbers/formulas/etc for different things like damage, skills, etc, since the wiki probably has more access to that sort of thing.

We're more likely than not going to get the formulas, much less post them on the wiki. However, I do want to post more 'Additional Notes' to clarify some skills once they're all updated. Stuff like how long exactly hold breath lasts and how long the hyperventilation period is from it.

Yeah, sure, info like that. Stupidity is a 33% chance for command failure and so on. An entire help file on what all the afflictions in the game do, etc.

It looks like my account over on the Wiki is still there and active. Let's see if I can help in getting it going again? -cracks fingers-
