Is it normal for bards to run away when you try to act all smooth towards them?

I think it's been like that ever since certain people dragged seduced bard/pilgrim/scholar-mobs around for ganking purposes some time ago. That poor bard though - how could you!? *dramatic gasp*

See, you were trying to build your own army of worshipers. The bards know their history, and they know what you are up to! Despite their affection, despite their attraction, for the good of the Basin they must flee your presence, and flee they do.

But...but...I treat members of my harem well. Who's been spreading bad rumours about me? DIVERT MOB is the solution for such problems.

Divert doesn't work when it's already been influenced, you know.
