Windows XP (SP2) and zMUD 7.05. The automapper's got plenty of bugs, but I've managed to bend it to my will (mostly). Scripting for Lusternia's gonna be fun. I can tell.

Windows Xp Pro and Zmud 7.05.
What was with that map? That was amazing...

*grin* 98??? WOW! *hasn't seen or heard someone on 98 forEVER!*Â Even my crappy school is on ME.... They are rich but they try to hide it! *nod me*Â
Windows 98 was one of the more stable operating systems from Windows that I've worked on.

I'm on Mac OS X but running good old Rapscallion on classic Mac OS 9. I've been using it for about, erm...2+ years and love it. I tried Cantrip but didn't like it. I don't think any of the Mac clients have very good trigger and reflex systems (such as herb/elixir balance capabilities), but I could be wrong because I really don't know much about it.

I use a very, very outdated version of Windows 98, and proudly make use of the native Java client. I have a soft spot for interestingly-built Java Telnets that don't make my screen throw up.

XP and Zmud here. I am addicted to mapping as much areas as I can but am about ready to assasinate whoever designed the automapper.

XP Pro and zMud 7.05. Hurrah for housemate and boyfriend having spare licenses. (long story).
I personally like Rapscallion on Mac OS X, but who likes macs anyway? *grin*
As for windows OS, 98 was more manipulable (is that even a word), but XP is quite stable. It is quite prone to the newer trojans, worms and viruses, and I know this having worked in technical support for an ISP where every second call was, "My computer keeps shutting down the second I open Internet Explorer." Sometimes, I would just like to hit those people.... IE sucks anyway. I remember one person getting the sasser within five seconds of first connecting to the internet on his brand new computer...
Way off-topic... yay Zmud Mapper! (*cough* it sucks)

Windows ME and Gmud. I know, awful. Well, when I have some time off around Christmas time I'm going to -try- and figure out zmud. I've never scripted a line in my life, however.

OS: Debian Gnu/Linux (testing) http://debian.org
Client: Tinyfugue (5.0 beta 6) http://tf.tcp.com
When I'm able to play on my main machine at home I tend to have a laptop with Windows XP nearby so I can use ZMapper. I'm trying to PM Zolas and get hooked up with the mapper he has sorta working with Tinyfugue. *begs shamelessly for the code*

I'm tempted to sell my full zMapper maps of the entire world for small amounts of credits.. Like 25cr or so.. They actually work with speedwalking, although they don't cope well with the inner sea(due to waves) and are missing the planes of earth/water and a few astrospheres.. They'd come with the triggers to do further mapping, and such. Would anyone be interested in those?
Unknown2004-10-27 17:46:42
I've been making extensive maps with zMUD, but I still get this odd bug of it not advancing to the next room when I'm just walking around. I found a hack to work around it, but now I can't double-click speedwalk and it's annoying me. I guess my automapper triggers just need a little tweaking yet to make them perfect.
Now that I can sprint, the automap stuff is less useful anyhow. Like I'm going to spend hours trying to come up with a method of updating the mapper every time I sprint.

XP and Java or MM2K, though at some point I'll motivate myself to switch to something more... Linuxy.
Anyway, we all know that Paint is the best for making maps.
