So..I still want someone to draw a picture of Veonira, full bodied (not just a head shot).
Willing to pay...if anyone's interested let me know!

Did I hear the words picture, draw and pay in the same sentence?!

Meh. I would've offered, but if Feyrll's doing it... His work is ridiculously good. I would still like to do a portrait of Veonira, though, for practice. (No fee, obviously.)

I'm in the middle of one that I'm probably going to completely redo (because it's taking too long) and I heard that Gavriel is doing one, too.

But go ahead, I'm busy myself, if I tried she probably wouldn't get it until a week later or so. All yours

Erk! Apologies.
In any case, I don't charge, so you're welcome to take the commission. I honestly just want the practice, especially if you're going to be joining the Artisanal competitions again.

Wow, the last few times I asked no one would draw her, now it seems everyone is ! Everyone is welcome to draw Veonira! Gavriel drew her, so did Kromsh, but it's actually really cool just to see what everyone's different ideas are about her (plus I love seeing the character I've played for the past 3 years in the flesh, or..in the..sketch), and I'm still willing to pay (in credits , but be warned I'm not terribly rich) for drawings .
I'd if you still wanted to Feyrll, I'm a big fan.

I don't want to draw you. I already have 7 other people I have to draw first >.>

So...don't? I was referring to the people discussing it, in any event.

Hair-feather issue aside, very beautiful artwork.

Oh, I definitely agree. Did you nab it off the web Alessandra, or are you a budding arteest?

This seems to be the artist's gallery. Very nice work, if you're a fan of anime and video-game-inspired art.

I'm no artist, and this picture is pretty a pretty bland warrior... Taking suggestions on how to draw/make it more interesting
This thread has some tips I posted previously.
Okay, here's my suggestions:
1) The first thing you should draw when drawing is a line of action. This line is typically the spine of the character. This line is outlined in red in the image.
NOTE: The line of action (LoA) shouldn't be a straight line. A straight line indicates that there is NO action taking place. Very boring. For a really exaggerated pose, you could have your LoA look like a C! Also, front poses are rarely dynamic. Go for a 3/4 profile!
2) Draw a skeleton from that LoA. Just a standard stick figure...I'm sure you've done these before
3) Now you start sketching in the anatomy. Knight anatomy can vary depending on what kind of weapons they wield. If they are wielding a big-ass klangaxe or katana, you can't have them lean as though they were rapier users. The smaller the weapon, likely the smaller the warrior.
NOTE: Get references when you are drawing! Either browse the artistic nudes section in DeviantArt, or google for a pose that you are looking for (e.i.: knight charge.) No one can draw perfect from their memory, there's always going to be a mistake, or several thousand mistakes. References help set a more firm idea in our mind what we want to draw and gives us a base to draw off of.
4) Once the anatomy is done, you can start drawing clothes! Cloth can be as simple as lines on top of the anatomy or elaborate folds or ornate armour atop leather cuireass.
NOTE: You can't draw decent clothing though if you don't have a basic grasp on anatomy and if you haven't practiced drawing draperies. You can do this by simply getting a clothe, or blanket, or anything really and draw it. It'll have folds and such, and you'll learn how to draw them the more you do them.
5) Do a background if you want. This is possibly the most awesome outdoors background tutorial ever.

Thanks Khar! Here's something I threw up before you said to do 3/4 But I tried to do a more dynamic pose... Ciaran stealthily raiding some village!
Oh, and don't worry, I think I can manage a face, I'm just practicing on the helm.

Does Ciaran raid shirtless? Hot damn!
Jokes aside, I like the pose. Gives a sense of action... which I guess is a "duh", but I'm slow

Here are two books I really recommend if you really want to learn to draw:
Ben Caldwell's Action! Cartooning
http://www.amazon.com/Fantasy-Cartooning-B...0008&sr=8-3
Caldwell originally wrote these books for children, so the instructions on learning how to draw have been simplified. But a lot of adults (myself included) as well as professional artists like to look this book up BECAUSE of the simplified instructions. You can get both books for under 20$, or check them out from the children's section in a library near you.
