That is actually pretty awesome. I mean, if that's supposed to be a tree in the background it doesn't really look like one (I thought he was in a tent first), but man, everything else is badass.

I'm not sure how it looks like a tent, but yeah, it's a tree. I typically suck at trees, so this was good practice.

I figured it was the Master Ravenwood (or some similar, gigantic tree). Sidd's eyes look a bit off, but otherwise sweet.

I love the picture, but I agree about the eyes. Would there be some way to maybe lower them a little still? I think the problem for me is they look too high up, making either the face or the neck very long.

To me anyways, the lines were too curvy and flowing to be bark. It reminded me more of fabric billowing in the wind or silk; hence, tent.

You can't tell because it's too dark, but the reason his eyes are set high on his head is because he's looking up. The bottom of the hood isn't actually where his chin is, it's more like his collar bone.

As for the tree bark, I'll keep practicing! Thanks for the input.

Or the eyes could be so high up because he has no forehead!??

Talan on the works. I am mildly frustrated with the wings so I am posting it. Any suggestions?

You can make the arch of the wing bigger and extending a little out from Talan's back, so it wouldn't look so squashed together. In all, its awesome. I dont really have much patience to do a full body portraits of anything, so I usually end up at half bodies so I admire those who does full ones.

It's supposed to be a bit taken in, retracted, reserved, and as such the arch is fine in my opinion - what I was asking help with was the feathers, but oh well, thanks anyway, Mir! The wing stays where it is, but the feathers will get more definition. I managed to destroy the whole file yesterday when my computer jammed up and I just restarted it, but fortunately I was able to salvage it from my e-mail.

Also, is it too dark alltogether? Any ideas for what to put in the room, details? I'ts supposed to be a wall from the Shadow Court, could do niches with scrolls and documents on the earthen wall, but... yeah. Anything else?
