It's not the limbs, it's the second head.
And as for magpies, just carry a big stick. It's the only thing Collingwood supporters understand.
Oh, you mean _those_ magpies...

AFL is quite possibly the worst game to carry the name "Football". I'm just glad that it isn't all that popular here in New South Wales, I'll leave it to all those other crappy states to play.
Magpies never seem to be to interested in swooping me, maybe its because I'm like 100 times their size running after them shouting "Mmm chicken".
Actually the Parakeets and Cockatoos probably keep them away, we get HUNDREDS in our backyard every morning, because we feed them. Those Cockatoos though...they keep stealing my Dog's toys *brandish*
I will say, as much as we give Adelaide a hard time, they do make bloody good beer. Also, Queenslanders don't drink dark beer! *gasp* You trying to by a nice malt beer like Tooheys Old in a Queensland pub, they'll just look at you dumbfounded and ask if you meant XXXX. *twitch*

AFL beats the hell out of fat men running into each other. One of these days a league player will figure out that they can avoid each other and then the whole "sport" will disintergrate.
(AFL convert, despite living in rugby league heartland all my life).

Some of them aren't fat though, and they figured out the amazing *dodge*.
Unfortunatly, it hasn't dissolved yet. I'll have to admit I can watch both, but don't really like either of them with a passion.

AFL is the way to go.. NSWers that say AFL sucks is because Swans got in 96? Finals and lost to Nth Melbourne.. THEN the next year after Crows got in and won back to back against Vic teams, that why they hate footy Well my theory anyway
Yrael, i did like that, any chance you have heard Australiana from whats his name.. Great poem and very funny..
Also i know a few Tassies and well i didn't see any extra limbs either.. but still its great to tease

Drago2005-01-17 06:24:52

Can't be bothered to read all the "Our state/city is the best"
So just to state my point:
I'm Sydney, NSW currently in Germany but will be back in March.

I might come to Adelaide at the end of the year to visit Alger again :>
I came by last Christmas. I actually like Adelaide *shifty* It's quiet, but I've done my share of partying, so quiet + Alger + Sushi Train + Haigh's = Happy Jad
Been to Sydney... it's alright, I liked the apartment we stayed in over at Darling Harbor... although later we went to Blue Mountain and lived on a farm, and that night was scary, cos I'm not used to absolute darkness, and in the middle of the night, one mother from the two other aussie fams (husbands didn't come along) there found out that her husband had been murdered and stuffed into a barrel... so I spent most of my night peering wildly out at the darkness wondering if some madmad was going to come and murder us out there where no one would hear us.
Perth... boring... but that might be cos I went with fam, so it was a little restrictive, and my cousins were goody two shoes... and Gold Coast... Palazzo Versace is awesome and that fish-something town/village/something that's basically a giant factory outlet where I got my 10 aud Airwalk sneakers... We didn't find the beach until the second last day though. They really should put big signs going BEACH IS BEHIND HILTON
When I was a kid, and my fam and I went to... Perth, I think... I ate 5 humongous drumsticks, then asked my mother, what's this, really big chicken? Turns out they were baby emus
I think the accent is cute, Alger's developing it, although he refuses to admit it. Hehe!

Well, just opened a cruiser. My first 'girly' drink in, oh, 9 months or so.
Sitting back, watching Rugby Semi-Final.
GO PHIL.
Lucky 7.

Harbour Town? I think that's what you're talking about.
I hate that place. Every time we go to the Gold Coast (I live in Brisbane), I somehow get dragged there.
I stayed in Surfer's Paradise a few months ago for 3 or 4 days - one of the girls I was staying with went THREE TIMES to Harbour Town. What about the damn beach?!
So I spent far less time with my roommates, more time on the beach without them, and went to Spartan 13 at the Southport RSL.
You go, Murphy? I know you're pretty local.
And yeah, Jad. The beach is pretty easy to find
