I miss the old emotes >.< kisshand, fall, huggle, raise,

when are we getting them back!!!! not to mention half the ones now dont work...
and yes i do realize this is only the beta,

Raise was replaced by eyebrow, huggle is lame.

Just use aliases to put them back in for yourself.

but custom emotes take balance! And that's no fun!

I hate that raise was replaced by eyebrow, its annoying as all hell. I want "Quirk" instead of raise or eyebrow... guess Ill have to just keep doing my own emotes *sigh*

Custom emotes are a great way to add personality to your character. But why do they take balance? I've been left behind several times because I've been custom emoting farewells when the group leader heads off!

Because people could spam emotes (well, they can do that already), or, if they lack titles, they could use them as illusions without anything to stop it.

actually with the colorization of emotes its not so much an illusions, but still in battle you could try to "set off triggers" with key phrases and such.

its great to custom emote a long-duration attack and then really attack em while they check for it...but triggers have taken most the fun outa that

The main problem with custom emotes is that you cannot really direct them at other people when more than the target and you is in the same room. It just looks a bit silly.

For Caedryn it will look silly, for all others ok. Would I replace Caedryn with 'you' then it would look for Caedryn ok but not for the others.

There is currently a list of about 100 emotes waiting to go in...

Besides, I think it would be silly for Lusternia to just completely rip off all the emotes from Achaea/Aetolia. Sure, we might be used to them, but new ones can be fun. And EVERYONE enjoys finding a new emote and using it excessively.
