I think a decent way to upgrade haymaker without having to worry about damage balancing would be to make it so that venoms hit more often during the skill. So maybe you make it so they hit 75% of the time, no matter what. So that way you get 2-3 venoms + crappy damage, instead of just the crappy damage...that would help to make the skill useful at least.

Still wouldnt be worth it, I can combo three times in the time it takes me to get balance back from haymaker
Ixion2004-11-02 00:43:32
aye, Aslarans get at least 4 combos in the time it takes of one haymaker. As such, regular attacks are at least twice as good as haymaker.

In closed beta, haymaker was WAY overpowered, and pulp only did one hit. Pulp was upgraded, haymaker was downgraded. I had thought that the problems were fixed.
Well, except for my 15 st. pulp doing 150 damage to Sierus. Lame.

Which is crap, cuz' with stoneskin, pulp still does 1500+ to me.
Richter2004-11-02 05:51:05
Yeah, I know, I killed you in one pulp, didn't I?
*cough* Sorry... I don't dislike you out of the game! I was just defending serenwilde.

I don't recall exactly how the haymaker formula works (and it's not in front of me), but it is a percentage of your normal attack. Thus an aslaran will be able to do the same amount of normal attacks in the time of a haymaker as any other race.

The problem is probably not in Haymaker or Pulp, but Warrior damage period. But it seems that right now, we are only made to be newbie killers. Because there is no way that we will be able to kill people with over 3k health, if they keep their wounds below critical(which is easy to do with the damage we deal), and cure crotamine(which is also easy to do). Also the affect of rebounding, flying, parrying, dodging, shieldriposte, shielding(circle/pentagram), and running must be taken into account when we are fixed.

Yeh, there's no reason at all to learn blademastery past LegTendon. Disembowel, behead and haymaker are a waste of lessons, they're either useless or never occur.
