{quote}But still, Thakin is not the only one who abused it, Cron. Don't post if you have no idea what is going on.{/quote}
I was on Lusternia and actively keeping track of the evets as best I could as they occured. Think before you write.
Your attempt to affect IC action with these OOC posts is deplorable. If you can't handle the results of your actions Guido thats your problem. Next time use a little more fore thought.

Didn't really want to wade through all the posts, so forgive me if this has already been said.
I was really disappointed in how my commune-members acted. I didn't know it was THAT bad, but I knew it was bad. Seriously, abusing bugs to get how many kills? It wasn't even that much power stolen.

Its not just the power taken Iggy. Its his support of Crow. Crow is the enemy of Whitehart. The bug issue is unfortunate but has been totally overblown for what I surmise are factional reasons.
Unknown2004-11-02 17:58:41
Cron, it still remains that he was the only one hunted. I left, and I am still welcomed into the commune. Guido left with some power, and was killed. Too many times.
Also, I wouldnt say the bug was overblown. From my understanding, they were making it so he couldnt do anything at all - he would just keep dying over and over. That could (and probably did) seriously cripple Guidos character, due to the loss of xp, level, and other such stuff.
However, people should be mad at us about crow... I wonder why they arent.

Some power? God this thread pisses me off. Guido took an upwards of 60+% reserves of power, I can bet it was more like 80% because I was there beforehand. What can Serenwilde do, fine him? LIke that would work at this stage of the game. And stop the godamn OMG SERENWILDERZ STOP ABUSING BUGS YOU ALL SUCK. One or two people with hexes abused a bug, I am not stating otherwise or commending them for doing it, it is low especially for a low character like Guido who doesn't need to be hexed to be killed. Personally I have spoken to the city and my guild about it but no one really cares, they all have to have their right opinions about every single issue and no one else is right. If Nikua comes back I hope we can start slapping people or seweing their mouths shut, cause it's getting old. Hayden doesn't go around killing people who cannot defend themselves, as per the case with Guido. All the people with him were privately telling Hayden lets kill him, quick! but I promptly slapped that idea from their heads. Not saying that if Guido stepped into our forest he wouldn't die, but he's got freedom anywhere else, including the road through the forest IMO, getting the others in the commune to see it this way is another story. I'd give it a year before anything really is decided upon. (Predicting 400 posts on commune board by next weekend)

Uhh, 80% reserves means 160 power, serenwilde will have like, 50K now? between all the rezzing (100 per rez) and linking of big people that like staying at 100%, I highly doubt Guido's act will ruin your Mother nexus. I think the wilders are just turning their bad moods off on the first best that comes into play, Guido. If I seen anything really "evil" in lusternia so far, it's the way Serenwilde is acting right now. It makes me sick, quite frankly. Someone else in these forums said, it's not the history of people that makes them evil, it's their actions, and exactly that is showing now.
Unknown2004-11-02 18:35:45
We have 30k, we don't rez and we limit power, if you don't agree with it good thing you aren't in our commune, its the way we do power and Guido knew.

Step away from the keyboard and take a deep breath.
We are not refering to all Serenwilders, just a group of you who happen to be taking these actions. If you are not taking these actions then you do not belong to said group and are not being discussed.

It involves me when posts use Serenwilde as a name for those involved. Stop it Serenwilde, lame Serenwilde, stupid Serenwilde.

ANyways, I'm done with the thread, don't worry.

Something you SERENWILDERS are trying to do, is seperate the individual from the organization. What you don't seem to realize, is that there is no seperation. An organization is not autonomous from it's individuals! if an organization welcomes an individual who does something horrifying.. is that not putting their stamp of approval on it? The fact that these bug abusers are still citizens(if that's the right word) there says that you don't really dissaprove.

That would be one of the dumbest reasons I have yet heard of to drop a citizen from the commune/city. Bugs are something not related to RP and are handled by the admins who will punish an individual who is found guilty of abusing them. That would be about as bad dropping someone for saying something on this forum or something else strictly OOC. If you were truly a character IC, you would not know it was a bug unless you step back and assume the identity of the player. Punish the person, no the character since it was poor abuse of the game coding for putting hexes up like that.

I can name one city in an IRE game with a standing law to outcitizen anyone who gets shrubbed. They then strongarm the guild to outguild the person, despite the lack of an agreement between city and guild as to citizenship policies. There is no effort put into investigating the circumstance before they are removed. They are allowed to appeal later...of course, by that point, they're coming back from being shrubbed only to find they've potentially lost their class, etc. And they appeal on the basis of...what? Explaining the OOC reasons you were shrubbed to other players in hopes they make the IC decision to let you back in? What right do they have to know your OOC crimes? Why should you have to face a tribunal if you've been unshrubbed (i.e., your punishment lifted)?
As a guild leader, I have directly defied this law once (by not outguilding, 'pending investigation and appeal'), and intentionally stalled until it was clear the shrubbing was long term and the messages from the city head built up in another case.
If this isn't the most absurd case of double jeopardy, privacy violation, and IC/OOC crossing in organizational law, I'd be amused to hear worse stories.
To my knowledge, no one has actually been removed as a result of a non-permanent shrubbing and come back to appeal it. One person would have, had I not intentionally defied the law.
As an aside, its these sort of asinine things that I'm glad Lusternia will hopefully avoid by virtue of the way guilds and cities are set up.

Someone said something that Crow is against Hart and so if you support Crow its ok to kill you because your trying to kill Hart.
Celest is against Magnagoria, Magnagoria is against celest. This does not mean its ok for one of those groups to kill a person in the other gruop whenever they see them on the road.
I think serenwilde is taking advantage of the fact that the Crow people, don't have a safe nexus to hang out at, and call their own. I also think that when there are quests in the game that have certain affects, and the game is equiped with counter quests to remedy or stop the affect, it makes for some crappy game play for people to be outright killing eachother instead of working on their version of the quest.
This is the type of behaviour that led to the ridicilous PK rules in Achaea and Aetolia in relation to Landmarks.
Please show some civility and restraint so we don't get stuck with over nerfed skills and ridiculous system changes that removes all the fun of an active pk world.

And also, the bug is that pushed hexes go through grace (or walking into hexes that you are enemied too)
When I target someone, I made it so it auto enemies them as well, so hexes will go off on em. Like I told Lyth, I didn't know that was a bug till it went off in his face, I tried to curse him, it said he had grace, and I'm like, then why did masochism go through it?

All I want to say is, there is such a thing as altering your IC behavior based on OOC effects of it. This is a game, abusing a bug to kill someone through grace, or just ganging up on someone and killing him over and over again can really make someone feel sick of it all, and quit in bitterness. I see a lot of people saying that it's In Character to do all those things that got done to Guido, but I'm saying, that's not a good enough reason. Think about it, OOCly, and adjust your IC behavior. That's not being a bad roleplayer, that's being a good player. Your character will be none the wiser.
And another thing. I frequently see people react to In Character events by being outraged Out Of Character. You really, really, really need to be able to separate IC and OOC.
This has probably been studied in psychology plenty, but if you, the person sitting behind the keyboard is angry at another player, then log off. Take your dog for a walk, buy your girlfriend some flowers, or do something else to take your mind off things, because that's just not healthy.
I see people who rave over the latest thing Visaeris, and others did. Keeping it to shouts and public posts and such is fine, that's IC, that's your character being upset. Don't bring that hate to the forums, or to OOC tells, because that's just screwed up. I'm pretty sure most of us here are much alike, we all probably skip classes to enjoy this cooperative game, walk our dogs and buy flowers to our girlfriends.
It's a game. Hating other players for beating you at it is just as bad as hating someone for beating you at monopoly. Don't hate a player, let your character hate another character.
