I do. I always have.
Sharok, are you confusing serenwilde vs DoC and Bugs vs Guido?

The disciples of Crow really seem to lack in roleplay.  Raising Crow, and strengthening the glam does go against serenwilde as an act of aggression.  Like it or not, the two forests are in oposition, and like it or not, raising Crow, injures Serenwilde, so don't you think, that gives us a reason to stop you? tongue.gif

Uh. What? We haven't complained ICly. I made a post trying to convince people to move against the evils of Serenwilde, because.. That's IC?

....

How exactly do we lack in roleplay again?
Unknown2004-11-10 03:17:37
I think the point was that a lot of people are bringing IC gripes into these forums. Serenwilde wanting to stop the progression of the Crow and Its (his or hers?) dsciples is completly legitimate, consider the stronger Crow gets, the weaker Serenwilde will become.

Incorrect.

And frankly, who cares? Nobody's asking you to read our posts on these forums.

What exactly is incorrect?

And you're posting on these forums, you have to expect people to both agree and disagree with what is written. I'm not going to stop reading and posting just because I don't agree with what is discussed; my opinion is just as valued (or useless, whatever the case may be) as the next Joe blog.

Quidgyboo, if we get stronger, its not actually making serenwilde weaker. IC, we currently have no desire to make them any more angry at us. We may have the potential to make them weaker, but getting strong (for the moment) will not result in that.

Visaeris, it is a forum, and hes right on that point. Someone prolly cares, and chances are there is more than one (people who are uninformed on the topic for example might care)....

As for the original issue, Quidgyboo, He was brinning an OOC gripe into the (OOC) forum - bug abuse is not, in my eyes, IC.

Actually, there is the possibility of it weakening Serenwilde; Estarra herself said in another topic like this that the quests had many facets and affects that are yet unknown.

Lord Auseklis (I think) has clearly stated that the Serenwilde and Glomdoring forests are opposite polars linked to one another. DoC strengthens Crow and Glomdoring -> Serenwilde and White Hart grow weaker. Oppositio est demonstrandum. er. *cough*
Auseklis2004-11-10 09:12:24
Yes, raising Crow indirectly weakens Serenwilde. Further Glomdoring quests after he is raised can directly harm them.

I saw my name come up a few times here, in a not so good context, so I'd just like to clear up what I did. I may have used the hexes through grace bug. If I did, I wasn't aware it was a bug at the time, nor was I aware that hexes would go through grace. I heard about Guido's taking of the power, and used my scry bracelet and saw that he was on avechna's peak. Apparently he had just died, I didn't know that, I just assumed he was up there for some random reason, maybe taking in pilgrims. Anyway, I layed down a few hexes near the base, expecting that he would walk through them and then I'd be able to get him. He did, but he ran before I could attack, it was only after a few more times of running ahead of him and laying more hexes that I was able to keep him immobile and try to nature curse him. At which point I got a message saying that he had grace. This was a bit of a surprise, as I had just spent the last minute or two successfully attacking him. I figured it might be a bug that he had grace, as I had frequently found myself getting grace for no apparent reason at that time. So I waited and it was gone (which wasn't long) and then killed him. If I had known about the bug, I certainly wouldn't have acted as I did. I apologize for it. I would also like to note that I think the shout about "i'm having fun with it while it lasts" or whatever is indeed horrible.

Also, I'm not that big of a thug. Today I saw Guido on Ethereal, he's off plane, so I could've killed him without trouble. But instead I just flowed to him and stayed with him to make sure he stayed out of trouble. That said, I will kill Guido if I see him in Ethereal Serenwilde, in regular Serenwilde, or once my being on his suspect list runs out, if I hear him making any more of those shouts that are just begging to get himself killed. If you want to be peaceful and friendly, it might be a good idea to not make antaganistic shouts.

Auseklis, if we can keep Crow alive for more than two seconds, I'd certainly like to see what kind of quests You all have provided for us.

Well you're going to have to swell your numbers and/or somehow sabotage Serenwilde immediatly before you attempt to raise Crow. Otherwise we will just keep killing the bastard tongue.gif

Wasn't aware you aren't supposed to hurt people through Grace? Wow.

I think you will find he meant he didnt realise he was graced.

Can't.

The Lunar cycle poses a real problem.. When it's a New Moon where we can do it, that means that when the Full Moon is around most of us will be asleep or at school/work..
Unknown2004-11-13 00:03:43
Its life, one day when the DoC grows bigger itll happen, I am sure of that. Any game always has that problem, whether holding onto lands, crow, castles, etc, people will strike when you are "sleeping" in game, which kinda sucks.
Unknown2004-11-13 00:10:08
Yup. We just need to get some people from other time zones.
Eldrich2004-11-13 01:17:36
I'll say this, a lot of people have faith in the Crows, which is a good start. I personally have none, but good luck.
Thorgal2004-11-13 09:21:53
Why not have faith? It's a fact they will succeed in raising the Glomdoring commune at some point, just like it's a fact that Gaudiguch and Hallifax will come around someday, right now the Crow KNOW they will succeed, just a matter of time and waiting till the gods seem it fit for Glomdoring to get implemented. And the ones that form the DoC now, will be the undisputed leaders.
Unknown2004-11-13 15:00:34
The fact that people have faith in us shows that we will suceed eventually. Faith = More people joining = More interest in Glomdoring = Gods Code it sooner.
