Now that i'm out of the Serenwilde and looking at it from the outside, I can see that quite of the people I respected when I was a part of it are no more than whiny little jerks. Which isn't to say everyone is like that; certainly not! There /are/ many good people in the Serenwilde. It's just that the fools are so much more loud, violent, and... well, bad.

And no, i'm not saying that all the people who are ICly angry with me are bad, that is untrue is well. It's just people like the one boasting over shout how he was able to kill me though grace, and Faethorn sending me a tell about how he is 'sad i've been reduced to whining on shouts like vissy', and people killing me over and over when I don't even fight back.

A big point: One of my pleas toward those killing me today was that Raan had made the Serenguard stop hunting me, and informed them only to take aggressive action if found in the forest. The claims of those who still attacked me: "I'm not in the Serenguard, it dosen't count", or, "I'm acting on my own, not as one of the Serenguards". It's great to see that you have no respect or care for what an official of the Guild charged with protecting your home said, even if it might not apply directly to you.

I expected pain and punishment, and even a couple of quick deaths. I didn't expect to be hunted and harmed so much that I /LITERALLY/ was unable to play the game until Fain stepped in a bit to stop the killing though grace. I certainly didn't expect to see multitudes of old friends abusing bugs just to get at a scrap of my flesh. You kind majority of Serenwilde, I urge you to make your voice heard. And as I said while 'whining over shout', the rest of you can rot in nil.

sad.gif Aye, leaving Serenwilde sort of shifts your perspective to the one the rest of us have.. There's some really frustrating people in there.

Incredible. I was offplane so I didn't know what was going on, but I sincerely hope that EVERYONE involved is punished SEVERELY. Post the names of every last one of those who hexed you, and press the issue. I'm fine with conflict as a result of RP, but this is incredibly pathetic..

Abusing a bug to screw with people through grace. And people label me a thug? Pitiful

I remember this quote:

Guardian Thakin Drakonis, Dancer of the Moon shouts, "The bug has already been reported, so I am having my fun with it before its fixed."

(I was the one that had brought the attention to the Gods, and called Serenwilde pathetic for abusing a flaw in reality that had already been reported.)
Zolas2004-11-02 02:43:53
I was in the realm when this happened, and I can attest to it being pathetic and lame.

Thakin was boasting on over shouts about how he used machoism on you and flaunted his explotation of the hex bug, despite announce posts warning those who do that would be frowned upon.

In addition to the mass stupidity inflicted by Thakin, many others of the commune were ranting on about how you 'deserve to die a million more times' and other such nonsense.

Best of luck to you, Guido, my friend. You've obviously made the right choice in leaving such allies behind.
Unknown2004-11-02 03:02:30
I'm a wilder and I agree, this is ridiculous. I don't see why we have to go around killing people just because they left our commune. Big deal.

That said, it is a valid IC action, but there should be IC consequences for disobeying leadership.

Uh no. It's not a valid IC action to use a bug that goes through grace. Sorry.
Unknown2004-11-02 03:46:48
Names, names... i'm pretty sure most of those on my PK status list used the bug, simply because though all my experiences in the clashes with Serenwilde there seemed to be glyphs coming at me from all directions, usually to immobilize me until the grace wore off. I know for sure that Thakin did it, of course, and Faethan, Jelani assisted them in it, although he didn't actually hex (Well, he dosen't even have the skill). Nementh assisted them with it too, if I remember correctly.

Those are all the one who I remember having been attacked though grace from; if you are included in there but are sure you didn't do it, then i'm sorry.

As a side note:

Jelani, Spirit Guide (Male Loboshigaru).
He holds the position of the Spirit Guide in the Serenguard.
He holds the position of an a Hand of the Serenwilde in the Serenguard.

Moongazer Faethan, Forest Spirit (Male Merian).
He holds the position of an a Moon Guide in the Moondancers.

Tuek Myeras, the Heir of Ellindel (Male High Elfen).
He is the Heir of Ellindel in the Moondancers.

It's too bad that these minority of Serenwilders are mostly also a part of the minority inhabiting leadership positions.

I think you should look at the way you left the Serenwilde then, and also your actions while within.

I left the Serenwilde and to date I have been hunted 0 times, and still talk to nearly all the same people I talked to when I was there. Most people just ask me why I left and likewise, and I try to answer all of them (missed a few I know) and be generally courteous. I didn't take any power before I left, by accident or otherwise, and currently am actually considering coming back just because I miss the banter on the commune chan.

If I recall, Guido, and if these are false statements than I apologize, but more than once you talked about how weak the commune was and such on CT. I know I spoke to quite a few non-guild folk about you when you were in the Serenguard (I was a secretary then) about how you voiced how horrible the commune was on CT. Personally, I only saw one instance where you were flipping out about our defense practices, but beyond that I missed the rest. However, if you irritate people while in the commune and then sap a ton of power before you leave...you have to expect some people to be pissed and continue being pissed.

And that justifies bug abuse? rolleyes.gif

Caedryn just had me killed again, for walking though the Alabastor Road though the Serenwilde.

I swear, if this happens one more goddamn time, I am quitting the game forever. I'm tired of being hunted every step I take, losing multiple levels every day, and being treated like dirt.

Caedryn, Defender of the Hart yells, "Go away, traitor."

Caedryn, Defender of the Hart yells, "Your voice dirties the air."

I got off the road and to New Celest as quickly as I could, but she, Jelain, and Musia persued me, killed me, took my chickens and pilgrims, then celebrated.

I'm sick and tired of these ****-holes.

Hrm. I'm coming. Let's see what we can do.

Also, avenger the bleep out of them.
Unknown2004-11-02 04:22:32
Devris, I indeed was critical of the Commune on several occaisons.

I never once 'flipped-out', however. I never called the Commune 'horrible', and never have.

But is there now a rule about pointing out errors in the Commune? Are Wilders no longer allowed to voice their opinions? I did, indeed, think that there were many things wrong with the Commune. I communicated my concerns only to be constructive and try to help.

And, of course, anyone who listened to me on the guild and city channels knows that I am quite silly, so it could be a handful of the more insulting things I said were simple jests.

Marsu, Faethan, Nementh, Tuek. Many others have contributed, but those are the one that have landed the killing blows. And I already got vengeance on Faethan once, explaining a bit of that.

Get a log of others attacking. That's a bug that others aren't going on suspect.
I'll tell ya what to do with it ingame.

Ah I didn't realise a bug was being exploited. My bad. What I meant was: killing someone is a valid action...Basically.

Its all about the way you voice things, and the tone you use in most situations when you do voice your opinions. I too had many gripes about the commune, moreso about certain people than anything else but tried to keep them semi-constructive at all times. There were times were I just got pissed and those were the times that I turned CT off to avoid saying anything bad on the city chan.

Can Serenwilders have opinions yes, but I have to disagree with your quote of saying that you tried to keep them positive. I have logs from numerous days and I'll pull up a few, mostly it was like you were beyond frustrated at times. Not saying you are a bad person or anything, just trying to give you a little rationale on why MAYBE you are being hunted as your are. I'm 90% sure it is for draining power before you took off, which frankly would have pissed me off too whether it was a mistake or not.

Anyhow, enough of arguing...good luck on your new venture in the Glomdoring and hope it works out for ya.

Logs? I'd like to see these logs, to refresh my memory. Could you send them to me via a forum PM, or post them here?
Eldrich2004-11-02 04:52:11
Issue one: One person says shut up over CT
Everyone thinks: "OMG NOZERS - Serenwilde is so l33t evil because they won't let us talk. Fight the man!"

Reality: No, it's one person, not in power, telling you to shut up, because he or she doesn't want to hear your mouth. I wouldn't tell you all to shut up over CT, but that's because I never have it on, probably.

Issue Two: Argue for two hours, everyone ends up telling everyone else to shut up, they get mad and say "You're not the boss of meez", arguments continues for two more hours.
Everything thinks: "OmGZERs he think he's better then me, heck no I'm not gonna look a fool!"

Reality: Arguments over CT when there's no Marshall is pointless, cut it.

and lastly
Issue three: People leave Serenwilde and now they they are malevolent evil beings.
Reality: No, you just look stupid because you served something with all of your heart for two years, and you leave for one month and all of a sudden hate Serenwilde with all of your heart.

Sorry for the typos, etc. I'm running against the clock here.

Umm...who left the Serenwilde and have gone evil?

I left...am rogue...actually like the Wilde and still talk to everyone there

I know a few other stragglers who left and many went to Celest.

Several left for the Glomdoring, but I haven't seen a mass amount of hatred from them either. Hell, if anyone is Malevolent Evil it is the people still there and hunting those who left and using hexes in mass amounts to make their life miserable.
