hehe....a pony carrying a tae'dae
Nementh2004-11-08 15:19:11
I think their should be size restriction on the mounts people can ride. A Furrikin should be able to ride a great war camel, but a Tae'dae shouldn't be able to ride a wakabi. Just my opinion.
Unknown2004-11-08 15:44:51
agreed
Unknown2004-11-08 16:33:37
It doesn't say how big the wakabi is in the description. A good wakabi trainer should be able to know what to feed and how to care for his wakabi, so that it's strong and large enough to carry him.
Besides, not all wakabi in Dairuchi are going to be the same size. Since it never specifies how big they are, we can assume they vary in sizes. Cronus just bought the biggest, fattest pig of a wakabi. Beaky!

When you said more to come Daganev... were you referring to what I said?
Anyway, more have come. Estelbar is selling giant wombats (added because the aussies couldn't say enough good things about em in another thread) ponies.. stewartsville has horses, dairuchi has wakabi, dashros, camels, battle camels.. acknor has giant warthogs, angkrag has skeletal horses.. The planes will have legendary/winged steeds soon (for those who have been wondering)
Also.. what do you guys want! I'm willing to add in any kind of mounts that you think would be great for Lusternia if they are reasonable. Post your ideas for new mounts and i'll take a look.

Oops! Forgot the dwarf villages sell mules and donkeys respectively, as well

I'm really not sure how feasible it would be but I would like to see an actual Nightmare.......not just like a black horse that could be mistaken for one but an actual freaking....red eyes glowing nightmare. Also....they would be flying steeds but a bat and a crow would be nifty....if I dream up anything else, I'll put it in....Oh! I know, something like Wargs....huge wolves would be sweet.
Unknown2004-11-08 17:22:21
mmmm, nightmare...too bad i dont have the thousands it costs to buy a mount, not to mention all i can do is mount one
Unknown2004-11-08 17:31:48
I'm an addict for coming up with descriptions for things like this too so if You all need some help up there.........I'd be glad to spread some ideas.

Gryphons, we definitely need gryphons. I would suggest they be sold in Dairuchi, or any higher plane. Could be different sorts of gryphons.
Leviathans - Huge sea serpents. Perhaps these could be sold on the Water Plane, or Shallamar.
Wilderbeast - Obvious.
Steed of Nil - Horses, black as midnight, who radiate pure iniquity. Obviously sold on Nil.
Celestial Pegasi - A pegasi, sold on Celestia.
Great Bats - Giant bats capable of flying, sold on Earth Plane perhaps.
Dolphins - Sold in a town near the Inner Sea, maybe Stewartsville?

I'd like to see these:
Grizzlies
Lions
Wargs
Manticores
Giant Spiders
Wyverns
Wurms
Dragons
Giant Crabs
Giant Flying Insects (Dragonflies, beetles, wasps, etc)
Edit: Prehistoric beasts auch as wooly mammoths, sarcosuchus, and perhaps, gigantic armadillos

Slaves that bear you on a chair to wherever you want to go. Travel like royality!
Unknown2004-11-08 19:07:53
Phoenix
Different Drakes
Mountable Giant Rocs
Hippogryphs (for the forests)
Panther/Mountain Lion
Wyrm or Burrower (for the Earthern Realm)
Nymphs (jk)
I am big on the flying steeds, looking forward to it.

My goodness gracious, I see sooooo many cheap knock-offs from achaea listed here.
Nevertheless, I'd like to be able to mount other players! As a mugwump with 9 size(I use a skill to drop my size by 3) And a tae'dae with 17+ size, I'd love to be able to jump onto his shoulders and ride around on em'.
Also, I'd like to see some sea only mounts.. fishies and rays and whatnot. And you couldn't take them out of the water..
And of course, city stables/corrals. A stable area in the city where we can leave our mounts, pay a nominal fee, and they'll be fed/watered/groomed for us and we can leave em' in safety while we're gone. And of course, a watery one, maybe just for new celest though.. a pen or something to leave water mounts in(corresponding to the above suggestion).
Also, one last idea.. city/great house specific breeds! For example, the british destrier(if I spelled that right) was bred for and by britian.. I'd like to see magnagora having some unique breeds, and celest the same. Dunno how serenwilde would figure in, since they're not really horse people(I think).

Could you imagine riding a giant crab? you'd be going sideays. hehe. Fain, if i may ask it, could it be possible for the mounts to defend themselves and do special attacks. for example, fi you have a pheonix, it can defend itself by ligthing your assailents ablaze.
edit: Serenwilde can have Deer and Stags.

Oh, and one more idea: I'd like to see "ranchers" more- as in, people that go out, lasso wild mounts, then take them back to the city stable to sell, or whatnot! Sort of like a comm shop.

I would think Rocs would be in Oleander Valley.....perhaps we could get a Harpy for Glomdoring or we could ride one of the Starved Deer or Translucent Spiders? Maybe even a black widow.
Unknown2004-11-08 19:29:13
that's a big arsch widow to haul a tae'dae or igasho or krokani
Unknown2004-11-08 19:34:24
holy crap, i had a helluva idea. As for the rancher's comment (and although it's not original) There can be two skills in the influence skillset. Pacify and tame. Pacify proves ot others oyur beast handling skills, making wild animals lay before your feat. Tame, makes them loyal to you. In order for it to be tamed, it mus tbe pacified first. So, we'd have pacify at..let's say adept, and tame at skilled. and just like influence, it is determined by charisma and uses ego to tame a beast. The bigger and nastier the beast, the harder it is to tame.
