Eehh...nah, Donnar, I don't even do that! I'm just a sixth form student at the moment. Although it feels like I should be getting paid. Stupid EMA thing. (if your county does this, you'll know what I'm talking about)

Hey I'm in sixth form too, and I get the EMA too, go me! tongue.gif

Never read much Pratchett, only a book here or there. Mort, I think has actually been the only one. More of a Heinlein and Asimov fan.

Probly not an exact quote, but he pokes fun at buzzwords a lot, and 'quantum' is one of his favorites to use. Something along the lines of: "Oh yes, it's very wossname...very quantum."

Really? I never noticed that he did that. I'll have to pay more attention when I'm reading his literature...

As for my occupation, I'm unschooled. I convinced my mom to get me some credits, though, so it's all good.

I have been late for the odd meeting, I mean, what's more important, a little meeting or the defence of the Inner Seas?
Shiri2004-11-19 11:23:49
The sea, duh. I mean, the meeting can wait. It's more important than my school too but if I don't hurry up my mum'll leave and it's a half hour walk there and I'm lazy biggrin.gif

Currently an English Teacher(yeah I know my grammar sucks, good thing they want to learn conversation) in Korea. Been here for two years. Came first as a 74B in the Army, it's now a 25B. Doing this job for a year to get my certs done and study more Korean. Coder by trade, but I'll settle for another Network Manager job if I can snag one.

Lab technician at Riley Lab, formerly of NEB. Currently working on a project dealing with the evolution of bacterial defense systems and their potential application defending against bioterrorism.

Also moonlighting as a research assistant for my astrophysics instructor, doing some things with D-brane theories.
Hiriako2004-11-19 16:47:22
Astrophysics...ugh. blink.gif Give me M-Theory any day! ninja.gif
Rhysus2004-11-19 16:51:42
Yeah, M-theory is where it's at. D-branes fit in there quite nicely to describe some of the black hole entropic states that tend to pop up when looking at heterotic symmetries.
Hiriako2004-11-19 16:56:37
Honestly, I'm not familiar with astrophysics at all. I learned a bit early on, and decided to avoid it like the plague. So I will gladly take your word for it!
