Geek Squad, got me a beetle, hate the thing.
Computer tech, web/graphic design, flash, even though my site sucks hard.
Beta tester extraordinaire, as far as big names go, the joy of bug reporting.
Currently majoring in Philosophy and minoring in Psychology. Want to teach highschool philosophy.

Senior in highschool, working on Legal Studies. Heh, yeah, I know, lawyers. I'll have to post some lawyer jokes I have laying around, must be fifty pages of good ones. Anyways, excepted at Hanover and should be doing college there for four years, three if I go full time studies and work hard. Then law school. May it burn in Dante's hell...

I work as a washer on semis right now. Getting colder, but things are doing great as I can pull in around 60 every two days for about six hard hours of work. So, about 120 a week just going at things with a pressure washer. Best investment I ever did.

I work for Target as a Price and Presentation Team Leader...essentially, I oversee the product transitions (like Halloween to Christmas) at my store and manage the clearance/salvage process. It's pretty crappy.

I hope to teach English literature and composition at the college level when I finally finish my degree program.

Hmph. Sixth form makes you sound like you're in grade six (which you probably aren't, since you can string together coherent sentances). And for you nosey people, yes, I am in Highschool. And no, I am not in Grade 12. And yes, and I am in a lower grade then grade 12. And no, I am not in Grade 8. THERE?! ARE YOU HAPPY?!

Oh, right, my job. I help learning disability kids at my Sunday Hebrew School. Fun.

I've done a lot things, from fork truck driver, to banquet chef at a four star restaurant. Currently I make my living doing research for an individual who buys and resells lots from estate sales. Antique collectors probably hate me. Droves of historical curiosities pass through my hands and get sold for cut rate prices. I haven't bought any credits as of yet. I'm still settling into the world of MUDs. My first MUD experience was playing Achaea for about two months before joining Lusternia's open Beta.

I bang my head against the desk trying to help people over the phone figure out why their damn "cupholder" is broken. And more.

Heh, Human Resources Administrator for a major Electrical Engineering Company in the US. Silly me, majored in Computer Engineering. Eh, take what's available. Such is life.

I am an Associate Research Engineer (i.e., software engineer) for the Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State University. It's my job to write the software in my division that communicates with our sensor network, multiplexing the data to our processing modules for tracking and controlling robots in the lab. The little mobile robots are really just expensive toys, and most days they're frustrating, but sometimes it works and that's a lot of fun.

I write code with C/C++/C#, Bash shell scripts, PHP, HTML, XML, Java, and basically whatever it takes to get the job done.

All of my credits in Achaea and Lusternia (so far) are purchased with gold and passed to me from generous donators looking for the odd zMUD script or two. I'd buy 'em with cash if I could, but the bill collectors wouldn't like me spending their money on credits instead of mortgage, student loans, electric, etc. wink.gif

I've been quite a few things in my time.

Useless lazy student first of all, can't beat em, so it's best to join them.

I've worked as a Wide Arena Network Keyer (Also known as a ****er) for Consignia plc, now known as Royal Mail, did that while I was a student.

I am a fully qualified barman, my favourite profession of all time, as I love my drink, if you ever notice Chade acting stranger than normal, I may well be drunk.

Worked as a builders labourer, covered in plaster dust and all types of shite, cig behind my ear and arse hanging outa my jeans, good job though if you want a bit of extra cash and to work with the funniest people on earth.

As for what I do now, I work as a volunteer teacher in China, earning £100 a month teaching English Lit, Oral English and English Listening at Shi You Da Xue Shengli Xue Yuan (Rock Oil Big Study Victory Study Place) or Petroleum University, Shengli Teachers College in Dongying, Shandong. So I obviously don't spend actual money on credits, because I earn enough cash to pay for um not many. Downside to being a volunteer.

18-23 Year olds, who have the average maturity level of 14 year olds, but I love em dearly even if some of em are older than me, I'll always call them kids, tried to show them Trainspotting as part of a British Culture Class, they almost needed counciling, had to switch it off half way through, gotta love being an unqualified teacher.

I work for a little commercial insurance company. I type up policies and do all the endorsements for the P&C side as well as handle all the electronic policy transfering and help out the IT guy with silly things like when someone calls him and asks "How do I get my name and stuff to show up at the bottom of al my emails?" or "I want to save this document and email a copy to someone, how do I do that?" He'll ask me to go help them cause he's too busy and while I don't much about computers... I know how to do those things. tongue.gif

Unlike all the Software "Engineers", I'm a real Engineer (in training at least). 2nd Year Civil Engineering Student at University. I enjoy the physics I have to do, not so much the Mathematics.

In my spare time, I stuff dead chickens onto a pole to be cooked...hoping to do my barwork course and become a bartender in the next 2 weeks (appropriate, considering I spend 75% of my time at University drinking at the UniBar anyhow!)

Another student here. Tough job, but someone's gotta do it.
Aris2004-11-29 03:56:29
I feel like such a putz.

I start work tommorow for the multinational superpower known as walmart. doh.gif

On the side, I write college papers for my friends for twenty bucks an essay because I myself was an idiot and didn't get around and GO to college. I am working on that though, what joy it would bring my heart to be a full time student.

I did a national collegiate contest in engineering once, me (17 at the time) and two 16 year olds who hadn't a clue what I was doing. Got a 'satisfactory solution', but the main fun was trying to write a simple formula to calculate drag on water droplets.... (only had 3 days for the full project, but I ended up with one neat integration that involved a couple imaginary numbers...).

(the project, by the way, involved calibrating a fountain so as to minimize soaking passers-by, while maximizing 'visual appeal', changing the fountain mechanically to adjust to wind and barometric pressure).

Theoretical mathematics - much more interesting to me than engineering, but very limited career opportunities, it seems.

Yet another student - High School. I'm Form 4/Year 10, which, fortuantely, probably doesn't mean to anyone outside of New Zealand.

I also deliver circulars (very fun *sigh*), but the amount I earn is only enough to pay for the school canteen and my electronic accessories (which, unfortuantely, doesn't include my slow computer (with a 4MB graphics card), or my slow internet (56Kbps)). So, I have pay for my credits with my huge amounts of ratting-gold.

Another lazy student here.
But during the winter, I work as a salesperson in a fireworks shop...
Wee! *is a pyromancer* happy.gif

I'm a medical student, I hope to someday be a brain surgeon, but that's a just a few (30) years off heh.

Deputy Court Sercives Assitant of the California Superior Courts, Riverside County Branch, Civil.

In other, less complex words, you get sued in Riverside, I will prolly handle paperwork from your case at some point.

Also, I am a History Major in school, transfering to CSU Monterey Bay in Fall 05.

Actually, Theoretical Mathematics provides plenty of job opertunities in the Engineering sector...being as most Engineers don't know too much about it, and there is a need for it in complex Engineering problems, if you have a double major you're in for a HUGE paycheque and garunteed employment.

Of course, on its own, there isn't much demand. In the real world, you've gotta do something that makes someone money.

Professional job hunter! I mean....I have an incredibly dull poorly paying job that I hate, working as an associate at Ann Taylor Loft (though atleast I get the highly abusable discount and they actually carry sizes small enough to fit me.....some of the time).....oh yeah, also a Marketing Major (though mainly so I can keep my health insurance)......Hopefully moving to Austin, TX some time next summer so I can start culinary school....

Yeah, I know, its all jumbled and incredibly pathetic....just imagine how I feel about it... sad.gif
